It's an awful day when you go see your best friend, since grade school, laying in a casket..Most people think drug use is just for the underprivlaged and the poor..But it affects all classes, and is just devistating to he user, family and loved ones of the user...But we all tried and get ronnie help, there is only so much you can do..It is up to the individual to try and help themselves at the end..

I totally agree with you. It took me 13 years to figure out that I could not make him get the help he so desperately needed.

Sorry for your heartache.

We need to find a way
to help
its killing a lot of people
in more way then one
everyday.
I personally try by my thread in the groups
I dont know the answer
but,
I know the question.
I was very lucky, a friend helped me quit
and see the light.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss...I don't know what the answer is anymore. Once the addiction grabs hold...it just doesn't let go. And you are right, it just doesn't take them down.

Addiction is an insidious and ruthless assassin. And while it's committed to destroying you, it also concurrently goes after your family and loved ones.

Hi baby, I am so sorry for your loss.....and yeah, it affects so many. I know you will miss him. I hope time helps you and when you think of him, you can hold on to the good times and let the bad ones go. My ex is an addict and it took me going to alanon to finally understand that the only person I can change is me. Alot of battle scars and pain to get to where I am now, but it was worth the journey. They don't see the suffering like we do, thats part of the addiction. He was lucky to have had you as a freind and my heart goes out to you in your time of sorrow......BIG HUGS and KISSES....Dragon
