| is it direct disobedience to directions given by the holy spirit or is it willingly worshiping false images or the devil himself?
i know alot of people in the bible were often rebuked by jesus and king david who ruled over isreal even commited murder, im sure god tried to warn him not to do so.
so what is blasphemy that is unforgiveable.
i dont want to do it whatever it is! lol

| i just read anotyher thread concerning this very thing, but i still dont understand...
if one has commited the unforgiveable sin... would that person still be able to use the gifts of the spirit such as pleading the blood against bad spirits and illness?
or would that persons prayers fall straight to the floor? if i knew that i could get a better understanding of things maby....
all through the bible people have disobeyed god...
this is a tough one also cause he said the gifts of god are without repentance.
so would a condemned person (through this form of blasphemy) still find power in prayer and the blood of christ?

soaring- i look at it like i look at gavity....it is always working whether i know how to
figure it's effects using math or not...and there are all sorts of people coming up with
theories about how gravity works...i don't need to know more than the basic, simple
stuff. and if i don't know that, gravity is still working ....
If things are working for you, don't let anyone tell you that it isn't....what do they
know?..they aren't in your shoes!

Just my thought on it....Blasphemy is some one stating a belief other than what you have been taught or believe to be absolute truths.

| In the context of Matt 12:31, the blasphemy spoken of is ascribing to Satan, the works of God. This is slander, which is the meaning of blasphemy in this context.

| Amazing how Christians will seek for answers everywhere except in the Bible. Why wouldn't you guys look to the Bible for the answer when it is the Bible that raised this Blasphemy issue?
The text of mark 3:22--30 answers your question.22: And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.

24: And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.

27: No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.

29: But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:

| Blasphemy against the Holly Spirit is the only unforgivable sin. This means nothing more than refusing to be saved, or refusing to eccept Jesus as your personal savior. Once you have eccepted him, your given the gift of the Holly Spirit which guilds you if you listening. When the Holly Spirit calls you, leading you to eccept Jesus and you refuse to listen, this is blasphemy. Those who are saved, must be first called. One is called by the hearing of the word of God.

Amazing how Christians, those who claim to believe the Book, will avoid what the Bible says and begin speculating.
So where is the scripture to support your speculation concerning your blasphemy doctrine?

I am only pointing out what the Bible defines blasphemy as. ,"Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit."
Yeshua had been working miracles we are told. The Pharisees were attributing these miracles to an unclean spirit, the devil, Belzabub, etc.
This was what Yeshua said that constituted blasphemy. ,"Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit."

O lord, help them.
them that persecuted you and any of your saints, because the world thought you were unclean and have tried to kill you thinking they do god a sevice...
thanx for your interpreting and tryin to help me understand.
when i went to church they persecuted me and said i was worshiping the devil.
this of course was not true.
the devil hath no love in him , no compassion, and surely could not do what the savior did for me.
they were working in a spirit of religeon and not the truth. that is why they see him as evil.

fear not that you blaspheme the Holy Spirit.
but seek,always seek...
be secure in your stance as a child of...no..
..as a son of GOD.
blaspheming the Holy Spirit which some how relates only to this Earth.
is to deny the existance Father God,the Eternal Son and
the Infinate Spirit [diferent than the Holy Spirit].
and that denial creating a hardened[unseeking] heart in you
would foster an iniquitious spirit that wouldn't want to continue on
the exciting walk towards unity with God.
be not perswaded by docterns of guilt,
but be ever knowing of the Love of God
and His Sons mercyfull ministry!
