| your wife falls into the minority, stargazer. i can assure you that most women absolutely DO know how to practice good hygiene.  i take a shower every day as most people do; so there's no logical or valid reason why a person wouldn't want to bathe or shower daily to keep themselves clean and fresh. i can believe the part about you having to teach her about oral because most of the women in that generation didn't really know about such things but, it was absolutely shocking to read that you had to teach her how to keep herself clean!

| Well, I dunno why you wouldn't check before you made your move. Perhaps the fact you were going to have sex was ok at the moment, and then you later realized what a dire mistake you have made. I know that I have been with women who didn't smell pleasant either, and my nose is very sensitive. In those cases, if they are nice, I do not have the heart to tell them that they smell, and so I just stop talking to them.

I read your first post and must say got a little sick.... but now you made it over the top. I really find it hard to believe that a woman who has had six children and I would assume had her monthly period did not know how to clean herself, no disrespcted intended but that is truly disgusting
I would think that someone in the hospital or her doctor would have told her that she was not clean and explained to her how to clean herself. There seems to be something missing here.

| After reading these last comments - - -Ive just got to add part of the real story of what's happening. First of all , I'm not any where on my last legs in this stupid world. How many of you macho men can work a chainsaw cutting trees all day then can still carry trimed logs 8 " in diameter at 10 feet long. Give it a try and see how long you've got to - - -I'm disabled and no one needs to take care of me. I have one lung and a burst fracture of my lower spine. Pain - - - yes but I deal with it and without pain killers. Try it. I'm a disabled vet and at times can't even get off the floor and still no one takes care of me. The not cleaning part I spoke of was before the Diease got her. She wasn't shipped off to her daughters but they believed what she was telling them - - - -Did I say she also has dementia ? Just perhaps before you start calling me names you should ask more questions. You "so called men" that did the name calling would not do that to my face. Only my God knows when anyone is on their last legs. People with this diease have lived up to 20 years longer. Ticked off disabled vet - - - oh my outfit was the 101 airbourne- - - -any takers ? The screaming eagle outfit.

Some people don't like the natural, normal smell/taste of a woman. If that's the case just don't go there.
Women can smell/taste different/better/worse depending on a number of factors including smoking.
If there is a bad smell unlike a normal, unperfumed vagina, then something is wrong that requires a doctor visit and treatment. NOT a douche.
The vagina is a self-cleaning oven. Douching messes up the process. Messing up the process can create problems leading to infection, discharge, and stink. So the woman douches more - making the problem worse.
Washing all parts of the vulva daily/after sex/after heavy perspiring is all that is necessary.
If it seems like something else is necessary then either you don't like the normal smell/taste, or a doctor visit is called for.

I wonder how many of you "name callers" could have taken that and still love your wife ? She's been gone now since 11 April 2009 and it still hurts me but she was killing me[as the doctor said]. Due to this abuse I've had two majure surgerys due to " U C " . You've heard of "chrones" well what I have due to this abuse is in the lower part of the intestine and am told I can't have any more removed. No Susan I'm not on viagra - - - just miss having sex for so long I don't even know that what I have even works any more but the desire is not dead. Some have even called me a victim - - - - sorry if my spelling isn't the greatest. I would't wish this on anyone. It's a living death. Oh - - - all my friends were just as in the dark about this diease as many of you - - - so I went this alone without friends either. All I wanted to know was why don't the parents teach their teens about the properway to stay clean - - - someday they will grow up without that knowledge. as i've recently stated in my first post in your thread stargazer, your wife is of a generation that wasn't open about such things; even things as important and healthy as good oral/physical/reproductive hygiene. back in those days, people hardly talked about sex or the human body, never mind parents telling their children how to keep their reproductive parts clean and fresh! i admire your 'love' and 'patience' to marry and stay with someone who was that unkempt between their legs. i can honestly say i absolutely would NOT be in a relationship with or marry someone who didn't know how to keep themselves clean on every level! cleanliness is next to Godliness.  to me, if a person doesn't care enough to keep their body (their temple) clean, then that will make me wonder what else they didn't care to keep clean about themselves...

Her ignoring the lesson could have been her passive aggressive act towards you even mentioning it to her. Lines of communication should be open but often they are not there is a theory going around called “Cognitive Dissonance.” Read up on it, it may help shed light on things.
