I like the challenge of getting to know you, and for you to get to know me. I've been repeatedly slammed for not posting a picture on DH.
Wish I knew how, but me and computers don't compute.
It's always interesting to read the responses that I get to my controversial questions, and comments; even the nasty responses. Though I wish the nasty rebuttals were fewer and far between.
Not being able to post a picture puts me at a disadvantage to the rest of you, because looks do matter. In real life I'm not a handsome man, but even an ugly man fares better on this forum, than one with no picture.
So it probably doesn't matter much what a person says, it's all about those damn photos!

Not so,Nwioa.
All is heard
all is important
pic or no pic
In fact, my own opinion is that some of the most thought provoking posts I read
Is what I say and think.
Knowledge is power.
Communication is King.
Sometimes I can see things better in print
then in my mind.

I think it matters most to the person who posts the question and/or the reply. You actually get some feedback and hear what others think. I think there's a value in that.

I hope to use what I write here to capture the heart (at least the interest) of the last truly great love of my life--I mean dynamite rockets blasting sparks flying passionate clawing at your clothes desire in your eyes love of my life love. If I spark the right values and ignite the fuse on her emotional magnet then It mattered a great deal to us. If some archaeologist 10,000 years from now resurrects my writings It also mattered--Maybe they have forgotten how to love and need a refresher course. If I have a heart attack today and never write what is in my heart well then I guess it didn't matter a whole heck of a lot. --=Oletafive=--

It matters!
These words you type here are a wonderful tool , right now someone is depressed in China and what you type may be the one thing that keeps them from going over the edge!
We can make or break people , with a simple stroke of the key!
Feelings can be hurt, friendships can be bonded.
In ancient times it was common to use assumed names , because it was believed that to know someone's true name will give you power over them.
This is not so far fetched as we all are worry about identity theft today.
So while there are perils in this place , what we write here matters even if you use a screen name , remember the people who comment back on your posts have a beating heart.

Words always matter. You never know how what you say may touch another person. When I write here, it only matters to me. Sometimes, I find out later it mattered to others. Sometimes when I go back and read what I wrote I see things differently.

Words matter. They matter a LOT!

edited to add... oh hi castor.. what you say is true. Guess we are thinking similiarly today. To me a pic is the same as a name... the words matter beyond either.
