| Just a guess Geo, but as an ex-shadow my thought is that they don't post a pic because they don't trust people and want to see if you can come up with another pic of yourself. Not sure if that's true or not but it could be....

| I don't know. I shared a pic with one who asked in email. Mine showed my face. His showed more of his truck than him. When I said his didn't show much more than mine of the shadows did he promised to send another... which he never did.
If he hadn't asked for one that showed me, I would not have asked for one that showed him.
I won't be so quick to share it next time.

| Thanks Friendly, that was pretty friendly of you!
Sebz, I think you made my point about not trusting, and I don't blame you. I cut people a bit more slack now about pics because looks aren't really what it's about and I didn't have any decent ones of myself for a long time.
Geo, maybe if you had another that was a showed your face a little better.... you're kinda far away in that one. Honestly, if they haven't sent you a pic, why would you even consider sending them another of you?
OMG! The ex-shadow king shows up to share his shadow wisdom..... LMAO!

| Oh it is true, I don't trust all on the internet, but I do send pic to those I choose. I just found it interesting that that guy kept asking for a pic of me when his really didn't show much more than his truck. To me that is no different than being one from the shadows.

| well i dont think its very fair if they dont even post or have pics to share but i ask for more pics to get a better look from different angles and its important for me to see your eyes as to me the eyes say alot... or if there is only one on there profile and i have reason to believe they may be fake then i ask for more pics but this of course is just me

| I disagree with those who think that looks are not important. After all, when it comes to romance, physical attraction defines that type of relationship. Honestly, it is not a matter of being too superficial or valuing appearances over other things, but if I cannot even imagine ever wanting to kiss someone EVER, what would be the point of advancing the process of getting to know him in other levels.
Now, since we are physically absent in this medium, the possibility of physical attraction has to be initially gauged by visual aids such as pictures and, to some, the live Webcam.
Now, I do agree that this process needs to be reciprocal --- and, I for one, have a few pet peeves when it comes to this whole issue.
For instance, I cannot understand why people post very outdated pictures.
I recently was approached by a gentleman on line and began communicating one on one with him, until I learned that his picture was 15 years old.
Now, I do not mind admitting I found that quite absurd and unfair to me. My pictures, and I have many, are current ---all 3 months old or less. They depict what I look like today.
Meanwhile, I am talking to someone who looked like the picture he presented to me 15 years prior. What do I care what a man looked like 15 years before I met him? _Duh (LOL)
Just picture yourself walking into a restaurant to meet someone for the first time ... walking in, cognizant that your date will be able to spot you the moment he sets eyes on you. Meanwhile, you are pretty much at the mercy of mother nature ,,, your eyes scanning everyone in the joint, wondering which of these guys could possibly have looked like that picture 15 years ago. (LOL)
I also have a hard time understanding why people do not have better pictures that well depict their features---a guy in a boat wearing a hat and sunglasses shot from, at least, 50 ft away, could look like anything.
I do not mean to offend anyone, but, in a day and age when most people walk around with those picture taking cell phones, why is it so hard for some to get a few snap shots taken of themselves by anyone in their lives (even an acquaintance at work, or at the bus stop for that matter). In case some may not know, a cell phone picture can be easily emailed to you.
Now as for those without a picture and their request to have others of mois ,,, well, they would get them as soon as I got some of theirs.
;O)~
