Hey. I did something daring the other night. I made contact with someone online and we decided to meet in real life. It was 10 o'clock at night at a well know park in the area. Was that daring or dangerous? Nothing happened (my choice). Have you ever met online buddies in real life?

I thought that was the whole point in being here, to meet someone in real life. Was it dangerous meeting at a park at 10:00 at night? Apparently not, since it turned out alright. I think that if you have talked with a person, and developed a certain amount of trust, you just kind of play it by ear. I've met men at my home before, but only after I felt comfortable with it. Never made a wrong judgement about it yet. Just depends on the people involved. Go with your head and your heart.

Ted Bundy was a great talker, one of the many women he murdered he met in a park. Be careful. If the park had a lot of people, thats cool. Much better if you met in a coffee shop, Mall, or other populated place. You don't have to be scared, just careful. Meet people and have fun.

daring or dangerous and death all begin with a "d"...i'd say what happens if that park closed early--most parks do to protect anyone from prey after it closes--i'd advise --emails--phone contact until one's ready-- saying nothing happened was that the mutual plan or yours...i believe he did try and you stopped him--what i'm saying the more you heard his voice or read his emails should have built up a trust with your thread here: nothing happened--and there's been no mention of of this guy post time...he must have felt disappointed perhaps as you didn't mention anything after you said : nothing happened--where is he now in dating heaven???

Oh T4 - when I read what you did I got chills - and not the good kind. I am familiar with the area you met in and please, please, please....don't do something like that again. You never meet someone alone after dark and especially in a park even if there are other people around. Everything around you isn't as visible as it is in the daytime. I have met a few people from online and things have gone very well. BUT - I have always met them in the daytime first. If they suggested a night time meeting, I made sure it was at a coffee shop or ice cream shop or some place very visible and with lots of people around. I also had a g/f nearby just in case. And you never, ever let them pick you up in their vehicle....always go in yours and leave in yours. I don't mean to sound like a nut case here, but it isn't only the women that need to be safe. Men need to be careful too. Now that I have done the "mother act", I wish everyone safety, lots of fun and good luck.
