| Well ,here is a prospective view from a "seasoned" gal. Here i am in a new world--------seeing as to how i was married all my life---------Here I am at a dance place and decide hey, take the advice, make a move. Which was totally against my" Southern upbringin" I asked a man--"would you like to dance"? He says NO!THANKS! My first try, rejection.Well, now that I have had time to think about it, will try again--til I get a yes. It's his loss!!!!!Its not like I am asking for a loan or a hand in marriage(abt the same, right?) I am going for it babe!!!!!!!

| The very few times that I was approached, I did not ignore my obligation to let the girl down easy if I was not interested.
Some females understand that it is not as easy as it seems to be the one to take the initiative.
Many will do so much to get themsevles psyched up to approach a person, that they have developed too much momentum and accidentally come on too strong.
There are so many issues and considerations, so people should always try to respond nicely if the approaching person is being polite.

| Sometimes you feel like your back at school and the boys are so shy that they just can't seem to get up enough nerve to ask....You would think that after they are older they would be able to be a little more aggressive. I think about all these wonderful men who never take a chance.... I think if you go into any situation with the attitude that We all have the right of rejection... than that takes the pressure off...It shouldn't stop you from trying again.

| I havn't read the last few posts but I wanted to put in m2cnts. I've been at it for a
month now and I'm not even getting a rejection.I got one person who is real and the
rest havn't responded. I would take a polite "no thanks" over no reply at all any day.
Otherwise I'm left thinking they didn't get my message or havn't checked theirs. After a while I just move on wondering what happend to those I gave up on.

| Its flaterring to have a woman approach you just as long as it isnt to strong. Most guys are used to having to approach woman and that sometimes can be awkward depending on the forum. It just never seams to be an issue if the woman approaches the guy except when there with another woman.

| i have been out of dating for so long that by the time i decide what to say and how i want to say it the person is gone. just a little sign is not enough; im so rusty i just don't pick it up. so if the other person is interested let them know. it helps!

| One should act on their attraction to another. If there is synergy then there will be energy and passion. Things happen for a reason anyway so let fly.

| i am shy and its not easy approaching woman, the only time a woman approached me i loved it i wish more would do it, the ones that do approach a man and get rejected now maybe they know how it feels for the man, getting turned down is one thing but a lot of woman like to rub it in a little or be rude about it

| i don't mind it either way.if a woman approaches me,i feel she has confidence and i like the fact she took the first step.if i want to talk to someone i might be interested in,i just do it.it can be tough and i was on the shy side at one time but all those things that we fear might happen.....never do.just be cool about.

| Welcome lastchance - I'm of the opinion that no matter if your a guy or a girl, if you see a profile you like then you should initiate. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, ya know what I mean? I've met some real nice people on this site, however I have not dated any of the locals yet. Want to be the first?
