It's a scary thing for me. Years ago I was married to a very possessive man. I couldn't go anywhere alone. He checked the angle of my tires to see if the car had moved. Every day I was accused of something I hadn't done. Treatened with knives and guns. So I'm leary of someone who is possessive.

Not really into it as I think I must trust my mate to do the right thing even when I am not watching """" and If I cannot do that then I am out of there."""

The only thing I own is my truck and home and personal possessions. One doesn't "own" another person. Just my 2¢ worth.

I've never known it so I really can't comment. But my life style has changed and I'm not sure I'd change back. That might be a stretch any lady.

Good grief ! I'm not possessive to the point of being over bearing or mean & hateful & sure would not threaten or harm a person who strayed , just do same or part company peacefully .

For me, it would be a matter of degree. Just a bit of possessiveness would be flattering and make me feel loved. Humans are pretty possessive of things that matter to them. I'm not sure I can equate possesiveness with super controlling behavior, and would not tolerate that. I expect loyalty, but I guess I want my man to entertain just a bit of "unsure".

I'd want my man to be a bit jealous. My ex husband would not have turned a hair if he'd caught me on the couch in a compromising position with his best friend. Damn !! I hated that ! Being that sure of your partner is pure arrogance.

I dated a guy that didn't want me out of his sight and when I tried to go home he thought I was seeing someone else... That was the end for me... but he was like a stalker and wanted to call and tried to come by and see me.. Finally rid of him.

why should anyone be possessive with one they love? If both parties care for each other and have excluded all others. Then what is there to be possessive about? My late husband had the attitude of " let gj handle it. she can shoot them down faster and with less trouble than I can". In short each take care of the interference on their side and respect one another.

Fish I personally feel it is the only way to go. I never needed backup one time in all those years. I do think if someone lays claim to you it is nice and loving to know Possession is a looser situation. Just my thoughts. gj

MY LATE-husband was so possessive I COULDN'T GO ANYWHERE ALONE.He would check if I went to my kids..he'd be looking in the window...
We sold our home up on the hill and moved to town because of this. I WANTED TO BE ABLE TO BREATHE AT LEAST.

It is not something I would ever want again. If it were a light case because he loved me that would be a whole new ball game.........
