| Hello. It is nice that you have in your advanced search different nationalities, but can you include a foreign language field ? Some of us are looking for native speakers of foreign languages to improve our language skill. E.g. I'm looking for native speakers of Mandarin Chinese. However, if I click on "Asian", they might only know how to speak a. English and b. a different Chinese dialect c. Japanese d. Korean e.Vietnamese f. Tagalog g. an Indian language, a language from Pakistan, Tibetan, Turkish, Thai, Cambodian, Lao, Hmong, Burmese, Indonesian, Malaysian, Samoan, Guamanian instead...so many other possible Asian languages.
In addition, for Chinese, please separate them to the most common universal versions : Mandarin , Cantonese , Taiwanese , Hakka .
After I click on "Asian" , I STILL don't know if they speak Mandarin because you don't have a language field that most other dating sites have. It would be nice to allow us to hit the control key to include ALL the languages we speak & ALL the languages we're looking for. So I end up GUESSING by their nickname & their profile & asking them in an email if they speak Mandarin Chinese. If you had a Mandarin Chinese field, I would not need to & then I can proceed talking to them.

I suggest that ENGLISH be the official language of DH and that be the ONLY language allowed in public posts.

| I suggest that ENGLISH be the official language of DH and that be the ONLY language allowed in public posts.
I agree that ENGLISH SHOULD be the official language of DH, but like MANY other dating sites, I think it SHOULD include the languages we speak including major dialects, e.g. just saying "Chinese" doesn't cut it because I wouldn't know if the person meant Mandarin, Cantonese (probably the MOST spoken Chinese dialect in the U.S.) or BOTH !
If we're looking for someone that speaks that language to practice with, it saves us from asking everybody that has a Chinese-sounding last name if they speak the dialect we're looking for. Some last names can be in more than one language like Lee, Li or Kim. Also, some women might be Chinese, but divorced & have an American last name, yet can STILL speak that dialect.
So I think they should have a field called "All languages spoken" for us to fill out, allow us to use the control key for multiple languages like the other dating sites AND
have a "gender" field too. We can't always tell what gender someone is when 1. they look like they could be either one 2. they have no photo AND they don't indicate it.
Have a great day,

I would say that belongs in a private message. It should be a good ice-breaker, much more than "how's the weather" or "how about those Oilers"...
