| well, that florida flash and pride of the democrats, rep. alan grayson, has added to his repertoire an obscene attack on a professional washington economist, linda robertson.
recently, it was his claim that republicans' health plans wanted the sick and elderly to "die quickly".
have the dems no better stuff than this to put out there against republicans or conservatives?

Alan Grayson Stands by "K Street Wh*re" Comment
Outspoken Democratic Rep. Alan Grayson is under fire from both Republicans and Democrats after a radio interview was posted online in which Grayson is heard calling an adviser to Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke, Linda Robertson, a "K Street wh-re."
"This lobbyist, this K street wh-re, is trying to teach me about economics," he said.
Republican Washington Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers said Grayson is "out of control," while Democratic Rep. Anthony Weiner asked, "Is this news to you that this guy’s one fry short of a Happy Meal?"
"Alan Grayson's latest comments are disgraceful, inappropriate and disrespectful to women," RNC Co-Chairman Jan Larimer said, calling on Grayson to issue an apology.
Todd Jurkowski, Grayson's spokesman, sent an email to Hotsheet standing by the comment and further criticizing Robertson.
"Let’s be clear about the context," he said. "The attack was on her professional career, not her personal life."
"She attacked the Congressman and his efforts to promote a Republican bill to audit the Federal Reserve," Jurkowski said.
"She actually questioned his understanding of the difference between fiscal and monetary policy. She had the audacity to attack a Congressman who used to be an economist. She's a career lobbyist who used to work for Enron and advocates for whatever she gets paid to promote."
K Street is where many Washington lobbyists work, and "K Street wh-re" is a derogatory – though not uncommon – phrase used to describe them in the nation's capital.
Grayson, who wants to limit the power of the Fed, made the comment while appearing on the Alex Jones radio show.
Just a few months ago, Grayson was a Florida House freshman with virtually no national name recognition. But he burst onto the scene in September when he suggested on the House floor that the Republican health care plan is "to die quickly if you get sick."
Called upon to apologize for those comments, Grayson instead apologized to "the dead and their families that we haven't voted sooner to end this holocaust in America."
Earlier this month he set up a Web site called NamesOfTheDead.com intended to draw attention to people who die without health coverage. (Republicans suggested it was more about Grayson drawing attention to himself.)
Last month, Grayson told Hotsheet that "people like a Democrat with guts."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
will women politicians or professionals EVER have respect from some quarters?

Oh and Grayson said that he stands by his statements, but then later today he said he was sorry... yes this all really happened..

Nope jus common liberalism made to retract his thoughts because of political pressure, all politicians are made to do that, when it makes their boss look bad.......even though in this case, Grayson made himself look like a frui loop, then Obama praised him, after the fact, Obama probably doesn't even have a clue what Grayson has said, he just reads from his script, like a good puppet

| Ive been following Graysons notoriety and at first enjoyed his plain talk and no nonsense way of speaking..Hes a selfmade (multi) millionaire and seems like a straight-shooter.But I do think he has become intoxicated ( or seduced) by his recent rise in popularity among talk show hosts and he probably went too far..of course "K" Street is full of wh*res... dont you remember TOM DELAYS "K" ST. Project??? Its was corruption at its best and will likely end up causing him more discomfort than that stress fracture he suffered while "Dancing with the Stars"...Republicans have their share of loose cannons--so do Democrats.

Alan Mark Grayson (born March 13, 1958) is an American attorney/businessman who is currently serving in the House of Representatives from Florida.
Grayson gained national attention when he said the Republican Party's plan for health care is “don't get sick, and if you do get sick...die quickly.”
Grayson was born in the Bronx, New York and grew up in the tenements. He worked his way through Harvard University, graduating in three years, summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
He worked as an economist for two years, but then returned to Harvard.
Within four years, he earned a law degree with honors, a masters in public policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government and completed the course work and passed the general exams for a Ph.D. in government.
Grayson was employed as a law clerk at the Colorado Supreme Court in 1983, and at the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals from 1984 to 1985, where he worked with such judges as Abner Mikva, Robert Bork, and two judges who later joined the U.S. Supreme Court: Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Antonin Scalia.
He was an associate at the Washington D.C. firm of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson for five years, where he specialized in contract law. In 1991 he founded the law firm Grayson, Kubli which concentrated on government contract law. He was a lecturer at the George Washington University government contracts program.
Grayson also was the first President of IDT Corporation, a publicly traded billion-dollar telecommunications company.
Grayson was ranked as the 12th-wealthiest member of Congress based on financial disclosure forms with a minimum net worth of $31.12 million, according to Roll Call.
In recent years, Grayson specialized in war profiteer and whistle blowing cases.
One contractor, Custer Battles, allegedly billed the government $15 million for inspecting allegedly non-existent civilian flights at Baghdad Airport, and $10 million on a time and materials contract that had cost $3.5 million.
The contractor received payment in newly printed cash direct from the Federal Reserve Bank. Grayson was enabled to prosecute fraud through the False Claims Act and its qui tam provisions.
In 2006, a Wall Street Journal reporter described Grayson as "waging a one-man war against contractor fraud in Iraq" and as a "fierce critic of the war in Iraq" whose car was "emblazoned" with bumper stickers such as "Bush lied, people died."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
it seems to me that grayson made his mark OUTSIDE of congress---particularly in going after bush and war profiteers.
maybe that's really why obama likes him.

"no qualifications whatsoever"......?
below is her resume from LittleSis website:
Linda Robertson, former Enron lobbyist and assistant to Rubin and Summers at Treasury, became a senior adviser to the Fed in July.
She's advising on "strategic planning and day-to-day issues involving their interactions with the Congress".
Linda L. Robertson joined Johns Hopkins in September 2002 in the new position of vice president for government, community and public affairs.
In June 2003, she was named to the additional title of vice president for government affairs and community relations at Johns Hopkins Medicine.
Robertson's position was created to provide a strategic focus for Johns Hopkins' relationships with neighboring communities; with local, state and federal governments; and with broader public audiences nationally and internationally.
She is responsible for government and community affairs for Johns Hopkins University and Johns Hopkins Health System, and for communications and public affairs for the university.
Before coming to Johns Hopkins, Robertson had spent more than 25 years working on federal legislative issues in both government and private sector positions.
She spent eight years in senior positions at the Treasury Department, working for three secretaries: Lloyd Bentsen, Robert Rubin and Lawrence Summers. She joined the department in 1993 as a deputy assistant secretary for legislative affairs, rising to assistant secretary for legislative and public liaison and then senior adviser to the secretary.
She led the Clinton administration's congressional efforts to replenishthe International Monetary Fund and to provide U.S. funding for Third World debt relief.
She led the effort to enact the first overhaul of federal financial services industry law in 60 years and coordinated Treasury's legislative efforts to restructure the Internal Revenue Service.
She won the department's highest honor, the Alexander Hamilton Award, traditionally reserved for the secretary and deputy secretary.
In 1999, she received the Ida B. Well-Barnett Achievement Award, one of six awards given to women leaders throughout the federal government for exceptional service.
At other times in her career, Robertson has worked as a House of Representatives staff member and as a lobbyist focused on tax, energy, technology, finance and corporate issues.
She is a 1976 graduate of Southern Illinois University, and earned a law degree at the University of Tulsa,1979.
She also received a master of law degree in taxation from Georgetown University in 1986.

he critiqued the NY-23 election results and said there basically no longer are two parties in america. we have one and a half parties, he said, due to the impotency of the GOP.
an excerpt from the washington times follows, regarding constituents' outrage at his cheek and smirkiness........

Grayson remarks drive voters 'Nuts's
By S.A. Miller
A group of outraged Florida voters has launched the site MyCongressmanIsNuts.com in a drive to oust Democratic Rep. Alan Grayson, who grabbed national headlines after it was revealed that he called an adviser to the Federal Reserve chairman a "K Street wh*re" in September.
The site is raising money to defeat the Orlando-area congressman and the site's organizers describe it as a "more appropriate alternative" to Grayson's CongressmanWithGuts.com, which the Grayson campaign said helped to raise more than $250,000 in October.
The "Nuts" site took in about $3,335 overnight after its Thursday evening launch, according to a donation ticker on the Web page.
"Alan Grayson's recent self-indulgent behavior has paralyzed his ability to serve as an advocate for the citizens of central Florida," the Web site says.
"Every penny that we raise is going to go to exposing his policies and who he really is," said Angie Langley, chairwoman of the recently formed political action committee behind the Web site.
"We are going to flood the district with bumper stickers, yard signs, and we are prepared to launch radio and television ads - whatever it takes to make sure this guy is not re-elected."
Grayson, a wealthy businessman and lawyer, was a freshman House member virtually unknown before his stinging rhetoric and take-no-prisoners style began to draw attention in September.
That's when he stood on the House floor and said the Republican health care plan is "to die quickly if you get sick."
He responded to calls for an apology by apologizing instead to "the dead and their families that we haven't voted sooner to end this holocaust in America."
He also set up his own Web site - NamesOfTheDead.com - that claims to list people who have died without health insurance.
He has described criticism of his frank comments as "Republican hissy fits."
