| What are your plans this Samhein?
For myself I am heading out in a couple of hours to spread some holiday cheer, I've made a case and a half of Apple Pie. Enough to cheer quite a few folks, it is blessed for good fortune this season, merriment, and Joy. Thus shall I honor my God, thus shall I share his gifts.

| Actually, you're not late, since Samhain is (according to a website that I can't post here since I'm new to the forum) 11/6/09, 10:42 pm for the guy from Seattle. For woodsmomma - subtract 3 hours, since you are 3 hours ahead of those of us on the west coast.
I know, it's usually celebrated on Halloween, but why should we let Christians or secular governments take over our holidays and then make them convenient by sticking to the same date every year, rather than considering the actual position of the sun in the sky? We had it for thousands of years before they did, and it was 1/2 way between fall equinox and winter solstice, not necessarily 10/31.
So, I hope you had/are having/will have a GREAT SAMHAIN! Honor your beloved dead, review the ending year, decide if something in you or your life needs to die off, so that you can incubate something new in its place during the coming year.
In the words of Starhawk: “And so we end in the beginning, as we should, and the Wheel turns on.”
Happy New Year!

| I celebrated by dressing up as Mario, getting drunk, and having my picture taken with all the other 80's cultural icons that showed up to party.
Oh, good times!
I love Halloween. Or whatever people what to call it.

| Merry Meet. I just wanted to say that I am glad to see some other pagans here. I did wonder why Wicca wasn't an option. or Pagan. Whichever. I had to work. But I did revel a bit in Mother Nature. In as much as I could from a parking lot. lol
