Now i am not at all the country music fan of the year lol
Nor am i trying to start a new music thread!!

What i want to do here is just give thanks to the friends [in the true meaning] that i have met here. You all keep my life full of wonderful and wacky crap and i am loving it all.

COME JOIN ME HERE IF YOU LIKE -- TO RECOGNIZE THOSE THAT HAVE TOUCHED YOU TO WHERE YOU CAN FEEL IT IN YOUR BONES

as our friend would say == have a soft day you all!

To each of the following - in no order - i think you know how i feel by now. thanks, missy

Isn't that the nicest song? I've liked since I first heard it a few months back.

Happy birthday week to you Missy!

Off to work for me. Real life--wouldn't trade it for the alternative!

I have met a few too and it sure is hard who to put on top of that list as #1 because ALL have been gracious and caring in their own way.

This is a list of just those that I have met, not the many others here Ive yet to meet.
Also, in no particular order

Falalala _ you know why

Stillonlywords-for the ride to venice
Hornet-also for the ride and putting up with the back seat driver
Lotus for opening her home
Teagal for just calling to talk to me and doing the girly thing at the mall
Gentlebear- for the surprise of a lifetime ( I told you so)
Soullygrounded-for her down to earth fun self
Bonita-soullys sister who isnt a member here but is still worth an honorable mention, for jumping right in with this gang of crazies and being a lot of fun.
Weaimtoplease- Very caring concerned person toward many, the Genie owes her one.
Country- didnt get to really talk much to him but cant wait for a taste of his frog legs

Theres a few Im still waiting to meet, and as one particular person knows now for sure, My door is always open.

there are several women here --yes there are--i'm on their "want to do list" --now can it get better then that--

oh fa la la--sorry i didn't make your personal list but sounds like a tuna fish tasting challenge to me (only the best tasting tuna is good with me), where many people like myself wouldn't dare wish to forget someone's name as this thread ( If you know them/ interact with them so how can you forget to list them) seems like only the best can be on your list, while everyone else is like stale cheese I meant chopped liver but what the heck i posted on here anyway but no wonder many people leave this site for instance...thanks for the opportunity to post / no hard feelings

When I left here early in the year I had 22 or so friends on my list from all walks of life so to speak. I don't think I was in a clique as I am not in one now either. I just do my own thing post at will. Everyone touches you in a different way even the ones you may not care for too much so its all good in my world.

I agree cntry...I have people on my list that I don't communicate with that often, or them me, but they know how I feel about them. We pop back into each others lives every so often just to play catch up. I'm sure we all have friends like that outside of the site also. Just because they aren't on a list doesn't mean that I don't consider them a friend. I will always cherish them as my friends.

I hope I don't need a list to know who my friends are on here.
Because if I did, it looks like I only have one friend,
and I don't even know if that's true anymore.

AmI missing the hint?
Is this your peoples way of saying stop posting?
Because that's not going to work for me.

so when did we agree to disagree for a quote like above to be even slightly true--you're a follower, not a leader IMO--you listen to everyone but your own thoughts--so tell me what/ when i said something to upset you prior to my other post here ever since you've been on this site and send it via email, I'd like to know --see it's about who you want to be associated with only--or there would "never be a need" for a thread like this to make others feel unwanted in a simple cyber world we're all part of--and IMO that's why people leave this site/ the weak even if it incluided me over my illness (you didn't even address that why because it was expected of me --tell me where i'm wrong with my opinion since you sort of addressed it--when you say "expected of me"--see that bothers me as if my opinion was not even in consideration for a good response back--but don't forget i read your post on wham's thread--and kept that in-- I ask you: send me an email to show how it's so expected of me--and i'll send you an apology if you can do that via email

I have not physically met anyone here, but I have talked to a few. I don't really say any are my 'friends' but I think of several of them fondly...including you Fishingmom....

SO TRUE...Ladeewaiting! I couldn't agree more!!
I ALSO think that words in chat versus talking to someone either on the phone/or in person can get misconstrued as well.

I have made some lovely "friends" and acquaintances on here
and it is refreshing to hear their views and opinions. Some, I wish lived closer to get together with and know on a more "one to one" basis, but that can't always be the case.

In any case, in the words of James Taylor (and his lovely voice)
We ALL should know that "You've Got a Friend"...

What a wonderful topic Missy. There are some amazing people here and you, my friend, have shown me many times over how special and individual you are. A leader is one who gets things done and brings others to action, not always taking the limelight and you do that, with kindness, well. Ken and I are always amazed with your caring nature and your ability to make things happen. Thank you for helping to keep me calm during the move by putting it all into perspective.

I have now become afraid to speak here, for fear I might forget someone who has made a difference. There are many very good people here and I wouldn't want to make ANY feel like chopped liver.

I can say that most of my closest friends here are the ones who stepped away from the keyboard when opportunity presented itself. There are only a few that I have met or talked to by phone that I don't care if I see again. There is only one that I would not attend a function if they were planning to be there.

The song fits though.. you do find out who your friends are when things aren't going they way you hoped.

I have met quite a few people here and have enjoyed all the times I've had at meet ups. There are friends who I never knew would be friends. Friends from near and far.
I have some people I am closer to than others, and some who I know all I have to do is call and we'll pick up right where we left off. Not a problem. But that is the normal social aspect of being human instead of an animal.

On second thought, I've seen some monkey friends at the zoo. That could be a clique I could happily join!

The happiest business in all the world is that of making friends,
and no investment on the street pays larger dividends,
for life is more than stocks and bonds, and love than rate percent,
and he, who gives in friendship’s name, shall reap what he has spent.

I'm not going to list names but will say, there's so many wonderful people here who I've not had the pleasure of meeting in person but would like to. I have had the opportunity to meet several in person and have made some wonderful friends. And there's many I've talked to via email and on the phone that I hope to meet in person one day. A true friend is not one that will come bail you out of jail, but will be sitting next to you in the drunk tank and say, Buddy, How'd we get in here anyway?"

BTW, I really enjoyed that video FIND OUT WHO YOUR FRIENDS ARE.

Being one that has been hurt seriously by a couple of people that had professed to be my best friend, I have had to learn the hard way to choose my friends wisely.

Then a few that I felt at least friendly toward via this or other Internet sites that ended up disappointing me once their true colors came to the top.

Recently got in between a couple of them where I had to take a stand in defense of the other.(hate having to do that, but no one hurts or insults my friends without me speaking up in defense or support)
I was blocked ...and I removed them from my so called "friend's" list. But friends or no friends, I will always stand beside the offended one regardless of how much of a friend I thought they were. In the end, I found out I was merely a name on their list and not truly a friend. Friends will respect differences of opinion, mistakes, and still be a friend. Some will even realize the error of their ways and own up to it. That's a friend. But it's still sad it had to come to that. Even if that person did not agree with my position on the situation that caused it, they would have at least respected my stance and NOT have removed me. Frankly, it is their loss. The other valued friend knows I'd be the one sitting next to them in that jail cell.

Great thread. Made me reflect on who my friends are and how much I value them.

gentlemanjim1 have a question for ya.. What are the other sites that have friends lists and block features..? Since you have just joined here in oct it is hard for me to think you were here long enough to have deep friends and to be put on a friends list got in the middle of them and to get blocked. I would think it would take more than a month to have all that happen. So please fill me in to what site this all happened on.. Just curious.
