Since just friends is an option when you fill out your profile,Why do people reading the profile have such a problem with this.Allot of people that contact me have long term on their profile and act accordingly when contacting me.Some seemto get offended when they dont get "long term" responses. Is this a product of not reading or not caring.

I think just friends is the best way to go on these things.I'm new at this, got one date on yahoo personals, nice girl except for the fact she drank a quart of tequila a day.did'nt mention THAT on her profile.and noooo I don't see her any more.

good topic. i think this is confusing for many.problem is many people looking for long term put friends first.....and see what happens.... and take it from there,.,etc.... thus, some people take it that way when they read friends in a profile. you're profile kinda spells it out and i wasn't confused as to your intentions.....but who reads these anyway.

btw.... welcome and good luck

yes, redcat I have wondered myself if people think if they just leave out things they may be worried about you not likeing till later, that you'll just look past it.It seems to me that if they would just be honset or upfront about things from the beginning they would be more likely to get the attention of someone they would be compatable with and save everyone time and trouble including themselves.Drink or often is on the options list!
