Hopefully this won't start a firestorm, but we'll see... Who do you guys/gals think would make for the best running mates of each of the current candidates? I personally would be all about having a Obama/Clinton or Clinton/Obama team up. What are some other pairings that you think either are A)a good idea or B)have good election potential. After all, if you don't get into office, the rest is moot. Let me know what you guys think. Obviously, the two I've listed are democrats, but feel free to chime in with Republican candidates too. Also, you've got to explain your choice. No fair just posting the names. In my example, I think Obama's idealism and engery could be well tempered or vice-versa with Clinton's experience/battle savy.

This is just my opinion, but Thompson/Rice would be my pick! (That's Condie) Although she has no aspirations, I would love to see her there with Fred. Thompson is, to me, the only REAL conservative in the race. I welcome any responses

clinton/obama ..... initially i felt this would be the way to go .... hillary would get the black vote by bringing him in as her vp ...... don't know now ..... she has hurled too many insults at him .... also, she has proven she can get the black vote without him .....

senator joe biden (spell ?) might be a good vp for her .... he is up there in the foreign affairs department for starters ...... that would take away questions about her lack of knowledge in that area ..... also the guy has a lot of personality ..... both men and women like him ..... she needs someone likeable since she is so polarizing .....

Biden as VP.. An interesting idea. From what I've seen of him in interviews, he seems to have done a lot of personal growing over the years. He did strike me as having a little bit of a temper/chip on his shoulder about something in the youtube debate but maybe that would be a good contrast to clinton's ice queen image. Yeah, now that you mention it, it might be hard for obama to let clinton's remarks all be water under the bridge.

I had another idea recently. Maybe we should go back to the old style that they used to use in George Washington's time of the runner up getting the VP's spot as a sort of check and balance. You could have Guliani (sp?) and Clinton together, although they might switch the capital from D.C. to N.Y. Or Obama and Huckabee?

I think Richardson as VP to Clinton.

Biden would make an excellent Secretary of State for whomever wins. He's got the smarts, vision and experience to redeem us (USA)in the world after the mess created by this bunch of idiots.

long list at 1:00 am est. political junkies think about these-some serious-some tongue in cheek. . female political junkies 40-60 East Tn reply personally if your seeking political friendship or hangout. lets talk
DEMOS-Obama-he doesnt have experience yet to be top man. Sen. Evan Bayh Ind. a Demo in GOP state who's more popular than Bush in Hoosierland (85%). Richardson, Dodd, Biden-All 3 would do good in top or 2nd spot. Forget about any southern govs whose name begins with Bred Sleeper-Former Tenn Rep Harold Ford Jr-Ivy League trained and probably the best political mind in Tennessee, Boy did we miss our chance in 06 to have a real natl leader as a US Senator. Maybe one of the old time liberals like Kennedy, Mondale or Dukakis would run so the GOP could accuse all Demos of being leftists. Edwards could pick Brittany Shears since she would compliment his $400 haircuts and whiplash motion trying to keep his hair in place.
GOP The Grand Oil Party- Chuck Hagel would make a great Pres or Veep. He says what he thinks ala Truman style. One nut pundit nationally suggested Sen. Lamar Alexander Tenn- Maybe pundit was not such a nut. Lamar has the intellect D*ck Luger Another genuine statesman Sen. Bob Corker Tn He can outdo Cheney at being invisible Huckabee-if his top bid falls short Jeb-He'd guarantee the Demos a win in 08 The Libertarians might take Rudi for #2 if they get in a pinch. The former Ky gov-Ernie whats his name, the hillbilly Bush!
Now a question-Suppose Ron Paul the only popular consensus favorite among both Demos AND Reps got the nod-who'd run with him??? Think about it because Paul is not going away and his populist fan base is large among all stripes. A 3rd party Paul run would throw the system into chaos and might throw the election into the House.
Personally I think Hillary and BHO'B have had a deal worked out a long time. They plan to 1-2 punch the Democrats far better than Bush/Fla in 00 and quasi candidate Kerry did in 04. So let Hillary and OBama run together and guarantee us another GOP President. I think OBama's lack of experience would balance Clinton's ability to give 800 word answers that say nothing and make people forget the question. Just ask Tim Russert. She dodges so well she should have been a boxer.
Rhetorical question-If Hillary for Pres, then why not Laura Bush, Barbara Bush, Nancy Reagan or Rosylyn Carter for Veep? Would Hillary even be on the screen if you know who wasn't the most popular politician in America and our former President? And I did like him!
So there it is. All us ET hillbillies ain't dumb. And remember if ur an Mid ET gal who likes my take on politics, RSVP.

I would like to see Huckabee/Thompson. FairTax and keep fighting terror. So many people are talking about how great B. Hussein Obama is…but what has he done? Really…what is on his resume' besides "Jr. Senator from Il.? He, nor Hillary have ever ran anything. That is ZERO executive experience. All those two do is insert the word "change" into every sentence….but they have nothing but socialist plans.

P.S. Ted Nugent would be a great VP!!!
