| Monkey-, Africans' view of god(s) is much different than western. Their close association with death gives them a perspective that americans, for the most part, have not been given.
the 15 who died, depending on source of information, are probably not conscious, after all, they are dead.
As for their families, they probably grieve like most higher life forms do, in their own way, and how that affects their spirituality depends on many things.
True, many people lose their "faith" when adversity befalls them. Some recover, some move on to other coping beliefs, some experience a mental "breakdown" of sorts and fall into a type of hell on earth.
It also can help mold character, making a person compassionate and empathetic, or bitter and hate filled. Some believe that we have a choice in what we become. It is possibe that we really do not, that some combinations of genetic and environmental influences come together in such a way as to set a personality into an almost "unfixable" pattern, if not unfixable.
As for grief, grieve in any way that one can, as long as it harms no one else.
monkey, from your experience, would you say that such a tragedy was the work of a god, or part of life which humanity has to deal with in a rational and or spiritual way?

Very true skunk, I find that a sad reality, as it puts forward other questions regarding equality and understanding. When you look at it, have we really advanced from the era when humans lived in harmony with nature and left each other alone, because of the need to survive. Back then it would have been physical survival, today it is more intellectual, or to be precise, evolving sanity.

| whooah!!!..7F here!!!..glad i am in a heated structure!!..the poor people and animals who
have to live out in this cold!!
A fire truck just went by...Fire any time is bad, but in the winter when this cold people get driven out of their homes into killing cold.....
people like to believe that prayer works as they want it to...that is a comforting feeling when the unknown or suffering is envolved...if it helps calm the mind then it is a useful tool...and maybe it will work at times...
but, better to give food, water, clothing, and shelter and show people that it could be
better soon...a little hope...

OK, that's the first step on Maslow's famous theory of human wants. If someone is hungry and has no place to sleep, that should be satisfied first.

Storm, you have always demanded facts from us God-believers to prove God's existence. What "facts" can you tell us to convince us that an era existed where humans lived in harmony with nature and each other ?
Many believe cavemen used whatever means available to increase their domain and take over food & land from other people. And if there were no laws protecting certain wildlife, elephants would have been extinct ( because they were killed for their ivory tusks ), tigers and others would also be extinct.
What are your sources to prove of an era of mankind's peacefulness ? And what do your sources say precipitated the change from that era.

| I had a friend/minster from kenya. They see this as an act of man not of God. they believe God is with them. this sort of thing only makes their faith even stronger. If you're not a chirstian it's impossible to explain why. If you're a christian there's should be no explaination needed.

Hello,
Please check out the Kenya Fire thread.
We shouldn't let Storm get away with the following:
Storm said: "When you look at it, have we really advanced from the era when humans lived in harmony with nature and left each other alone, because of the need to survive. "
He did not answer my Post where I am asking him for facts ! Afterall he always asks us for "facts" !!
I always thought it was human nature to be greedy, etc. Storm seems to think otherwise.
Wishing you good health and satisfaction as you continue to make a very positive difference in 2008.

Each person that makes a post is entitled to their opinion and that opinion should be respected even if it is irritating to you. Even if the person is not from this country, they should still enjoy the Freedoms of Speech that we enjoy also; which is classified as Equality.
Second:
It is our choice to respond or not to any questions we so select to answer. To some of us it is viewed as ignorance if we feel we are ignored. Remember, those feelings are yours and their actions are theirs; each is responsible for their own.
Third:
I personally do not agree with brother Storms opinion but I do respect him as one of my brothers; a brother with a different set of beliefs and morals yet, my brother of the Eternal Creator in which he selects not to believe in.
Fourth:
I thank you very much for the blessings you have bestowed upon me; it is very kind of you.
I do pray that you are not offended for my posting this here before everyone's eyes. I am considerate enough to leave who you are as anonymous.
In the Spirit of Peace and Love. May the Eternal Creator's Mercy and Compassion grant you
a Joyful heart all the days of your life...

he was probably thinking about something related and it came out wrong...there are a few
peaceful tribes, but don't want to look too closely at any of them or you will find
cannibalism or something unpalatable... ..
actually, i don't see how you guys keep so much info available for recall....
i only got 15 cable channels and have to check the guide to see what is what....

Your humor is one of the most treasured by me!
Either you are the most hilarious person I have ever come to know, or I just laugh at anything; and I do not believe the latter to be the case.
Now, these tribes you speak of; are they tribes of Kenya or another region of Africa
that their cannibalism becomes unpalatable?
Brother Skunk you said :"actually, i don't see how you guys keep so much info available for recall....i only got 15 cable channels and have to check the guide to see what is what...."
Personally, I am a very introverted individual. Within my prison I am only allowed the bible for entertainment and education. And although I have 13 cable channels connected to my Genesis chapter, I have an additional 5 cable channels connected to the Exodus book, Four cable channels connected to the Leviticus book,Three cable channels to the book of Numbers and 2 cable channels to the Deuteronomy book.
Bear in mind my brother; as I drone on over and over in repetition, the same answers, it only proves that some of my cable channels duplicate themselves in other books
Why my brother Storm duplicates himself I cannot not answer for him. Be it know also, If brother Storm chooses not to inform you of his reasons ...etc...It is his rights under Equality and prerogative to respond in the manner he selects
In Peace and Love we also enjoy our selves

| ..strings... ..thank you.....
now, seriously, We duplicate, repetitive patterns, in space and time, compulsively, attached symbiotically to the navel without bounds, infinite , as expressed in fractals parading persistantly on , mirroring Prime Cause as it reflects upon itself.
this will be in finals!...
