I'm sorry, I was having fun reading you two going back and forth with this. I like to post threads that get people thinking. I love thought provoking posts. I was just curious to see how this one was going to go. I had no idea I was gonna laugh so hard as I am right now. You have to admit, it was kinda funny!

If the egg came first, then I would cook it for breakfast.
If the chicken came first, Sweet, KFC

Chickens evolved from non-chickens through small changes caused by the mixing of male and female DNA or by mutations to the DNA that produced the zygote.... These changes and mutations only have an effect at the point where a new zygote is created... That is, two non-chickens mated and the DNA in their new zygote contained the mutation(s) that produced the first true chicken... That one zygote cell divided to produce the first true chicken.....

Following me so far?.. Good..

Prior to that first true chicken zygote, there were only non-chickens... The zygote cell is the only place where DNA mutations could produce a new animal, and the zygote cell is housed in the chicken's egg....

So, the egg must have come first...

Well since Darwin himself later admitted before he died that even his own theories of evolution were proven to be false and not possible and life has been proven time and time again across this wide globe we have over the processes of evolution, then obviously from a purely scientific point of view, including DNA studies, the CHICKEN CAME FIRST! Hell, even scientists have proven already that they can trace our human DNA back to one man and one woman, which supports the bible's telling of how God created the earth, the animals, then man!

According to the christian bible the chicken/rooster came first. And then yahoo made the chicken/egg carrier for procreation.

chicken......here is a different reason besides religion. In evolution, a species derives it name after it is created. So the chicken with all its characteristics would be named a chicken after it is living outside of the egg. JMO

They came together. With the exception noted earlier. That is, the chicken and the egg are one in the same.
Kind of like the "life begins at conception - or not" debate.

I wonder....am I performing an abortion when I prepare breakfast?

Or, am I having oral, beastiality sex when I eat it?

Damn - so much to think about just to satiate my selfish yen for nourishment.
