I haven't had that concern for myself but I have heard it from others. My hunch is that when the right guy comes along, that concern will dry up quickly. You will of course have to communicate a lot about what you need and want in the relationship, and who has what roles. But I am sure you will be able to work through it.

You are adorable, by the way.

Yes I have- I have been alone for longer than I wanted to be, but sometimes that is when you can reflect on what you have; what you want; and try to get those 2 things to be one===

I can definitely relate. Alone has become very comfortable for me. I actually enjoy being alone...sad isn't it...but I have begun looking for someone to spend some of my free time with.

Yea. That occured to me about a year ago. It bothers me that it does'nt bother me????
If I accept my being alone and am ok with it, does that mean I'm going to stay alone?
I watched my aunt go from 35 to 65 alone and it always bothered me that she did'nt have anyone.

I've only been alone about 6 months of my life so I've never had that experience. Not that I'm complaining cuz I can always have some of me time when my son goes to bed

That's too wild, my thoughts to the T ... not bothering me that it doesn't bother me ... WOW & if I accept it, will it be my fate? I watched my aunt, too, go from the age of about 40 when she divorced & she has never remarried & in her late 60's now. When I was younger, I thought everyone was supposed to be with someone. My grandma chose to stay alone for the remainder of her life, as well after my grandfather passed on. It's nice to know, I'm not the only one who wonders this. Everyone I know is paired up. Thanks you guys.

I know how you feel, i havent dated since spring 2006. And sometimes its easier to just be alone, staying out of the rat race. Cause i have a chld, so am very selective, but anyway, i came to DH about 2 wks ago...has been fun.
Good luck.

Hi Chris, yep, alone can become way too comfortable. Been alone 17 years by choice but now I'm beginning to get lonely. Not a good feeling. Can't understand why a beautiful lady like you is still alone if not by choice. Hang in there, it'll happen.

Too bad we don't live closer chris, we could try going out and being alone together and see how we liked that.
