| Well, the best way to avoid that is to define what it is you want in your terms of "a good woman with common sense"
Your definition of common sense may not necessarily be the same as the women you are meeting. I won't give the time of day to one who doesn't come close to my definition. Yes, true love is as hard to find as the holy grail. You need to make it fun to search, because everytime you find one who doesn't meet your criteria, you need to wish them well and enjoy the process. If you don't you will come off as desperate and believe me, women are intuitive enough to back away. Good luck!

You need to know what you are looking for in a GOOD WOMAN WITH COMMON SENCE.
What is GOOD for you maybe wayyy too wrong for someone else! However, common isn't so common. Be very specific, you may even want to write this down,,, make a list and check it more than twice when you are on the prowl! Commit it to memory and then start really looking... your head will turn at each pretty face, however, you may have to keep walking if not enough of your desires are not met... but be the man you are and stick with what you want! Don't "settle". She may not look what you think she should be if you desire certain qualities about her personality vs her looks. You never know what unpolished gem you will find! You will find her!

| I'll try to be as accurate as I can to the original story I read years ago.
Once there was a man from Polynesia who hadn't seen his brother for quite a few years. When he came to his brother's house he was greeted by one of the most beautiful and graceful women he had ever seen.
When the brothers were alone he asked how his brother had managed to marry such a stunning beauty.
His brother explained.
I knew this woman would make a perfect wife though many men saw her as skinny, shy and plain. When I approached her father he thought I would offer 1 cow or maybe 2 if he was lucky.
When he brought up the bride price I told him "I will give you 6 cows, that's all I can afford"
The woman's father though the man was mad. The highest bride price paid in his memory was 5 cows and she was a great beauty indeed. The father readily agreed to accept 6 cows for his plain and skinny girl.
The brother asked why he would pay such a great price for this unremarkable woman.
He explained. "When she goes to the river to do the washing the other women there will know that a great price was paid. When she noticed the other women talking in whispers about her worth she stood a bit straighter each time. When merchants come to the house they know the lady fetched an unheard of price and treated her as a great lady"
The man knew that if he wanted to marry a Princess it didn't matter so much how she started out but how he treated her.
The man who bought a 6 cow wife got a bargain indeed
