| don't know, maybe she just wasn't the one for ya. sry i can't help ya more. the only time i felt lonely was right after a relationship when i was still getting over her. my freinds and family keep me pretty busy and entertained though.

| We all have the NEED to love and be loved, so till we find that, we have a feeling of loneliness, no matter how much fun we think we are having and how many people are taking up our space...you can be in a whole room of friends and family and still be lonely. You can be with your partner, and if you don't love that person or your love isn't returned, you can still be lonely. YOU! are not alone.

| not true at all. i went 10 years single, never felt lonely at all. i'm comfortable with myself. i do look forward to sharing myself with someone else, but its not a need in any way. maybe its just me, idk. you can be in a room full of people and feel lonely, but you can also be all by yourself and feel completely comfortable.

| Well said chris.. and that is why YOU are more ready for a relationship than the other! Adding another person to your life will not MAKE YOU happy, you have to learn how to be happy on your own.. a lesson Chris has already learned.

| Good thread.. being with someone for the sake of not being alone is wrong. We all have times I believe when we could be alone. but doesnt that give us time to reflect on ourselves and not in a selfish way. Id rather be alone than be with someone and be lonely.

| well, I don't agree, sometimes is better to be with someone even if you feel lonely at times than not being with anybody. I talk from my experience, because even if you feel lonely with that person, is still there for you and in society you feel better, someone is with you, even though might not be "the one". Even as just a friend, there is someone to talk to when everybody else is not available.
