| i have a friend i talk to regularly and he's in a wheelchair,paralized from the waste down and can't use 1 of his hands fully but i still think of him as a normal person not 1 with a disability..he lives in another state or i would definately date him.he's funny,clever and very sweet and caring..i think the world of him and when we talk i don't even think of his disabilities.unfortuantely,not everyone thinks that way though.in todays society so much is frowned upon and its sad when people determine what others do in life.i'm a BBW and i have found that to some even thats a disability in their mind because i'm not someone they can accept or even wanna talk too.it use to bother me in the past but i have grown to love who i am and the person i have become and if their that shallow minded then i'm better off without them anyway.

| I think this question is to broad... Learning Disabled is a very large term and over 50% of people have some form of Learning Disability it just depends on what it is you are refering to. Dislexia is a LD, trouble in Math can be a LD, bad eyesight can be a LD.... I have a learning disability, I can not learn by sight I have to have verbal and hands on thats a form of a learning disablity. Its why I am great at english and math and bad with history.

| Okay, I have been reading what everybody has said in the poll and I have noticed that some people have asked me what I mean by Learning Disability so let me try and clarify LD for those indiviuals that have asked me. Here it goes
What I mean by Learning Disability or how some on here have put it LD is it could be any type of Learning Disability that you could think of. Alot of people may or may not have heard of FAS or Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. What that is...... is when the mother or birth mother however you would like to say it is that she drinks alcohol while she is pregnant with her baby. Now what the media and the health books will indicate or use the word RETARDED or something to that effect. One of the things that I really CAN NOT STAND and will not STAND FOR is being labled as that. To me personally I prefer mentally challenged.I would like people like the media and what not to stop useing the word because in my opinion it is like calling a black person the N word, and that is not a good thing to say to somebody. All minoraties should just get along with one another. Like I have said to people before it's not whats on the outside that counts but whats on the inside that DOES. So in terms of LD's it could be anything. I hope that this clarifies things for people, if not please feel free to ask me and I will answer as best or much as I can.
