I do not understand why is it now a days, what you do for a living matters any more. of course to me as long as your working and doing what is right in life I wouldn't care if you had to work two jobs to help provide. yes a man needs to work to take care of home but the women does too to help her man out. I mean i do want someone with some sense about him, I don't want a looser, but seems like the first thing a man ask you is what do you do for a living and if you say something that is not what they exspect of you to say,t then it's like there not interested in you. Why is that??? to me that is mean. i work two jobs to take care of me and my girls I'm the mommy and the daddy really. I haven't been to any school like trade school yet!!, but i work. WHAT IS YOUR THOUGHTS ABOUT THIS GUYS?

I personally don't care what my girl does for a living.

I do want her to do something that fulfills her. Something that makes her happy. That happiness will shine into the relationship. She's happy, I'm happy.

If you are in love with their heart then it should not matter what they do.

It should not matter what kind of work you do.
I commend you working two jobs is hard, and you
are putting your children first. Good mom you are.
Anyone does not like what you do for work, you don't need em.

Sweetgurly, excellent question. And I'm not sure. I respect anyone who works for a living, no matter what he/she does -- this society has made it too easy NOT to work. But occupations may matter, as far as compatibility goes. Can a lawyer have much in common with a waitress? Can a plumber have much in common with a paralegal? Can a writer have much in common with someone who works in a production plant? I don't know. But after the initial physical attraction, there's got to be some commonality there. And occupations may play a role.

This is an excellent topic. Personally I don't care about what a person does for a living, to a point.
I work in a very relaxed, easy going industry, and it reflects my personality. I've got 2 jobs, I'm a travel agent, and I'm also a massage therapist. As a travel agent, I work for a great company that takes very good care of it's people, and it's an absolute blast to go to work everyday.
As a massage therapist, I own my own practice, work hard at it, and love healing people and helping change their lives.
I find myself attracted to the person, not what they do. I don't care about how much or how little they make, I can get along just as well with a waitress from Denny's as I can with a white collar professional.

I don't think it matters what you do for a job. What we do are life choises, because I choose to be a Bus drivsr does that make me any less of a person than someone who chooses to be a doctor. Education levels may be different but I don't think jobs equate to inteligence. We are in a time of choice, we can work to live, or live to work. Everyones priorities when it comes to life choices are different.

I think it does matter...If you are flipping burgers at McDonalds and not trying to better yourself then I wouldn't have much in common with you...I need a man with some kind of direction in their life...

It doesn't matter what they do as long as they like what they do and have a interest in it! What they bring home for money isn't an issue either!

Well some people have their own set of standards and that's ok. If you happen not to meet those standards then keep it moving. When God made one man he didn't stop!
