| I came to Georgia 21 months before Bob and the day that he came home I called the radio station and asked them to play Bobby's Girl by Marcy Blane. He always requested Proud Mary when he was pretty high and wanted to dance. My daughter had them play Shout (another one of his favorites) rather than Daddy's Little Girl at her wedding when she danced with Bob. My daughter Sharyl was almost 16 when Bob and I were married but she still had him and his son escort her across the field when she was Homecoming Queen, her senior year. When Bob and I got married I told her she didn't have to like or love Bob but she did have to show him the respect that she would show any adult. I teared up when they escorted her across the field because she had them say: Sharyl Copen, escorted by her father, Bob ________________ and her brother, Scott _________________________. And she asked Bob to give her away when she was married rather than her biological father. I made very poor choices when I picked husbands but I was very lucky that I got such a wonderful, caring daughter.

| Amazed, by Lonestar. My husband bought me the CD when we first got together and we had that song played at our wedding. I also played it at his Celebration of Life. Every time we heard it and we were together we always looked at each other and knew what we were thinking. That song along with "When I Get Where I Am Going" always stops me in my tracks and I will always think of my husband with those 2 songs.

| Any song by John Denver reminds me of my late husband Marc. He was popular when we spent three weeks camping in the Rockies on our honeymoon. We also went to a live John Denver concert in Danbury for our wedding anniversary one year. We had lawn seats and it poured but huddling under a tarp holding hands it was a very romantic night.

| You all got me in tears. My husband died Feb.2nd of last year. It will be one year in a month. It is still so very hard sometimes.
This sounds weird, but Lookin Better Every Beer , by The Stray Cats. It was the first song we danced to and Islands in The Stream, by Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers. Still can't hardly listen to them.
Hudd was his nickname, he was a powerful force in many peoples lives. A hard man to get to know. He even told me he would have been dead if he hadn't met and married me.Long story. But he was a good man and a good father. I still miss him.
Thanks for this thread, I can vent here a bit and feel ok to do so. God bless you all.

| My Husband always played "Spirit In The Sky" and said, to play it at his funeral, so that's what I did. As far as I know, he did not even know he was going to die.
