| The other thread made me wonder about that.I'v used them. The thinking,or lack thereof,is that if theres absolutly no intrest whatsoever after seeing my profile, what would be the point.I'v always responded to winks, but I guess woman apparently get lots more than I thought.Theres always the mindlessly insipid first email, and yes I do read the profiles first.

| personaaly, i have gotten alot of winks. most are of the bogus variety. but there r some women who just want to say hi. u r just going to have to manuver through the pretenders, in order to find the contenders. good luck.

| Personally i rather a small hello in a an email than a wink. A wink just tells me they like what they see. A small email tells me they liked what they read.
good luck

| Most winks I get are scammers. So much so I am wary of them. I agree that an email that actually lets the person know you did more than just look at their pic is more attention getting.

| I prefer a brief email as well. Winks don't require any thought...

| I agree. I don't like winks at all. What does it mean when someone winks at you? It could mean anything. If you're really interested in someone, send them a short e-mail. It doesn't have to be something super poetic, just something simple like "Hey would you like to chat sometime" or something. Winks bug the hell out me. I never know how to respond to them and when I do wink back or even send an e-mail, they usually don't answer back which annoys me even more.
Winks are for the lazy.

| I for one don't mind the winks.. unless it is the same ones that keep winking and never write.. but the first wink is ok.. because it lets me know they seen my profile and interested...therefore i response to it depends on if i would be interested in them.. then i say thanks... and opens up for my contact. so not wasting each others time.. but if one writes weather im interested or not will write them back and let them know.

| It's even better when a woman does send you a message saying hi or whatever and then you say hi back and then that's it. When you check the message you sent, it's been deleted. I got one of those today.
