| Hey. I am a newly single mom. I just got out of a 4 year relationship this past August. Just now getting up the nerve to try and date again. I am pretty much lost. I didn't think I would have to be starting over again like I am now. I am 28 and have three children, that all live with me. I am terrified to start dating again. I know it is going to be hard, finding a man that would want a woman with 3 kids. I fear the rejection. I am on here just looking around, seeing who I can find. I have met a couple nice guys so far, but only talked on here. If anyone has any advice or success stories, about dating after kids, please let me know.  I could use some cheering up.

| Hi there Kris. We're a great group of people on these forums. I understand the fear of trying to start dating again. I used to have full custody of my daughter, and raised her all by myself for several years. She lives with her mom now. It was hard, but I wouldn't trade those years as a single parent for anything.
There are plenty of men out there that love children, and won't be scared off by the 3 that you have. I know this because I happen to be one of those guys that wouldn't hesitate to date a single mom if I found one that I had chemistry with.
I wish you all the luck in your search for a man that deserves to be with you and your kids hon.

| Hey, girl!!! I'm a little too far down the road of life to hit on you...but having raised my own two boys alone, from diapers to college I thought I'd put in some encouragement! Fear and loneliness make for poor judgement so talk to lots of people. 3 kids is nothing to worry for a gentleman, but finding a gentleman isn't all that easy...Read a lot in the self-help section at the bookstore. Demand respect!  Don't be afraid to pass...

| Babygirl don't sweat being single with three kids.It takes a strong woman to move on and start over men love a strong woman! I have three girls and after I got divorced I found that real men don't judge women by the amount of so called baggage that kids are sometimes refered to as but by there blessings and kids are just that.

| Trust me I know how that feels. I am 21 and have two kids and am now just getting divorce. I found out my wife was cheating on me with a guy that was supposed to be a good friend that i have known since highschool. It is going to be hard I know it is hard for me and I am trying it. So cheer up. I guarantee you will find the right guy soon.

| Thanks to everyone for replying to my post. It gives me a little bit of hope. Maybe I will meet a great guy some day. Right now my guard is up though, and I am having a hard time trusting anyone. Maybe it will get better.
