| i was at boarders bookstore today looking through some music. this attractive blonde was near me...she looked up at me for a second and smiled. shortly after she came over to the same section i was in not more then 3 feet away from me. we sat there for a short while looking through the selections suddenly she asked for the time. i told her the time and she stayed around a litte while longer and then went to check out. ok so if your still reading what im wondering is did she want me to strike up a conversation with her by asking me the time? or was it all a mis understanding on my part. if asking me for the time was away for me to strike up a conversation with her the hint went over my head i never know what to do. im just shy around women i find attractive im kinda kicking myself for not at least trying. could of been the begining of a nice friendship.

| I'd say since she smiled at you and then came over next to you, ask the time....yes she was hoping for a conversation. You could have started by talking about the music in front of you. Then by her responses you'd have known whether to persue or not. Don't worry I've kicked myself lots of times when I think of things later. Goes right over my head too.

| When a girl does stuff like that, being around you, looking and smiling at you she is definitely trying to strike up a conversation. If I was in your shoes I would ask her if she comes here (the bookstore) a lot and talk about books for a while at least to start as that is an obvious topic of conversation and she would not be in a book store if she didn't have anything to talk about concerning books.

| ya dude you shatteder that one! the asking for the time was one of the big starters that ive found out and read over and over. now as for starting the talking, you could have asked her what she liked to leson to bc you were in the music part and hope that it was one of the bands that you like. but if it is dont over do talking about that band unless she goes all out about. after getting to know what she likes sugest a new band or songs.
