| The last relationship I was in was 8 years and now I'm single. I've been out of the dating scene for so long that when I see a pretty girl I would like to talk to my mind goes totally blank.
I guess what I am asking is what are some good icebreakers... conversation starters if u will when wanting to talk to a woman I know nothing about.

| JMO - I look for reality. Is he sincere? Is he honest? Is he genuine? Anyone who tries a line with me - uh huh. No go! Be yourself. And Be truthful. If you approach her just because you like her smile then tell her that. Think she's pretty tell her. But just do it!

| Things you should know...
1) Smile when approaching.
2) DO NOT Stop and stare and then approach. She'll think you are weird before you even open you mouth.
3) Say something that will make her smile or even laugh. Humor is a powerful.
4) It is a number game. The more women you approach the better you will be at it. Body Language is vital. At first you might say the right things, but your body language will display fear...Until you overcome fear expect to strike out a lot. Mose likely will because of how you look when you are approaching, not what you are saying. Repetion is the only way to solve that problem.

| Thanx sailin...I guess my biggest thing is actually getting up the nerve to go up to someone and say anything at all. I have always had a really bad fear of rejection.

| Try this...Start by asking every girl you come in contact with "What time is it?". Until you feel comfortable asking a supermodel (A very beautiful woman) what time it is.
Approaching women is the same fear as jumping out of a plane, or afraid of heights. It is just a fear built within all men. Some over come it when they are small and some never overcome it. You just have to find a way to overcome it as with all fears you don't want to live with.

| Good info here. Thanks people.
That's kind of my problem too. I can notice women and I can notice them noticing me, but I usually have no idea what to do from there. One thing I've learned from this site is how important body language is with women. It's almost more important than what is said verbally.
