Question... What is the difference between a magnet and a piece of steel?
Answer... One has an inner power of attraction and the other does not.

Some people are like magnets, they have a positive and a negative side and that inner power of attraction.

Some people are like a piece of steel, they are very strong and ridged, but have no attraction power.

Magnets will always attract steel, but only the magnet will “work” to keep the bond.

Magnets will also attract other magnets IF the polarity is correct, both magnets work to keep the bond. If the polarity is not correct they will repel each other.

Steel can not attract steel, the only way to bond steel to steel is by an external source, weld it, bolt it etc.

I myself am a magnet looking for that other magnet with the correct polarity. I know when we find each other the laws of attraction will bring us together with mutual attraction.

I have to say that I have never heard it put that way, with magnets and steel, but it does make a lot of sense and makes you stop and think about it.

I THINK THAT PERFECTLY EXPLAINS THE ATTRACTION,
AND POLARITY OF MINDS AND INNER SOULS.

This is very unique...
have you thought of publishing this thought...??

Thank you for a most insightful experience on DH...

Makes belonging here worthwhile...and addictive when you learn something new,

Magnet. I must be spending too much time working with steel, it is throwing my polarity off.

Lyrics

Ooh ooh ah
Now I told you so you ought to know
Ooh it takes some time for a feelin' to grow
Ooh you're so close now I can't let you go
Ooh and I can't let go
For you are a magnet and I am steel

I can't hope that I'll hold you for long
Ooh you're a woman who's lost to your song
Ooh but the love that I feel is so strong
Ooh and it can't be wrong

With you I'm not shy to show the way I feel
With you I might try my secrets to reveal
For you are a magnet and I am steel
For you are a magnet and I am steel

I'm a magnet but not the normal kind...mine's more of a freak magnet always has been.

The more freaks I am around at once the stronger it's power!

Not there's anything wrong with freaks, I'm just telling it like it is.

Good thread nightowl!

George,
Now that you post the words, I can hear the song in the back of my mind...
I am going to go to project play list and add this song to my play list on DH.

Thanks to both of you for bringing out this illuminating thought today.

So true!

I'm a magnet....sometimes I wish I wasn't. Sharp object fly by steel & hit me every time. OUCH! Strangers come up & ask me questions all the time. I was standing in line at Wal-Mart the other day & the lady behind me was so hilarious, I wanted to get back in line!
