I think you should just bite the bullet and ask him out. If you don't, you will be shy lonely girl for the rest of your life. We both know you don't want that.

Practice getting eye contact with other random guys first. Once they look you in the eye simply say Hi or Good Day and smile.

You just need to work on your confidence a bit. Once you've done it a few times, it get easier each time you do it.

You could build some confidence right here on this site. Contact someone through an Email. Check their profile, say Hi and then thank them for posting in your thread.
It's easy! Just do it and don't worry if they answer you or not. Don't let any one's reply upset you. There are good people out there.

Make is seem natural. Find an event, like an out door concert, wine tasting, etc... and while you are messing around with files ask in an Oh by the wat manner "are you doing anything saturday? want to go to a wine tasting in town for an hour or 2"? Time box it, keep it simple and non-threatening,

Its very hard,i am very shy to and it probably cost me a date or two, if he is like me you will have to ask, on the computer is easy, i freeze in person.
