| | 1/27/2008 9:39:25 AM | hi why do women not? | | katiescarlett72 Justin, TX age: 35
| See, but I'm not looking for fun.
I'm looking for intelligent, dedicated, driven, ambitious (this does not mean money-hungry, but ambitious to be GOOD at something), health conscious, actively Christian, and sharing the same interests and some of the same hobbies as I have.
I look at your profile, and I see someone who makes less than I did when I was 20 years old (which makes me doubt whether you have any drive or plans for the future), doesn't take very good care of themselves (which makes me doubtful how you would take care of me, my home, my kids, or our future), and doesn't appear to have any interests to make themselves interesting.
So I guess my question to you is, what is it that makes you think you're a good thing? You have to actually have something to offer women besides "fun". Women in the 21st century have jobs, own homes, have IRAs and have been raising and supporting their own kids for years. We have hobbies, friends, clubs and families. What exactly would you bring to the table to enrich that? Because you're going to have a hard time finding a quality woman who would take you on with the stats you have listed; they will look at you and see a liability waiting to happen.
I'm not trying to be mean or harsh, but if your profile is an accurate assessment of your life, then it may be time to take a good hard look at where you're at, and decide if it's really all you want for yourself.

| yow! That's some truth there!
Katie Scarlett...the BBQ is getting cold now sit in the shade and have a mint julipe!
(Still she said what she said cuz it was the truth for her and that's ok so YOU GO GIRL FRIEND)
and fella - I didn't look at your profile so I can't say anything good or bad and I wouldn't do so, but....since she was truthful and honest she is entitled to be respected for it and NOT thought of harshly nor judged a b*tch just because she has her own desires.
To each their own children!!!!!!!!!!!!

| Katie! Good Lord! You are just like my last ex. Turn your statement around and right back at ya! As men we have all the above mentioned as well, what do you bring? It's real easy for us men to find women that already have kids, so what is it that you bring that is sooo great? Honestly?
| | 1/27/2008 10:00:55 AM | hi why do women not? | | katiescarlett72 Justin, TX age: 35
| People can judge me for whatever they want LOL. It's not going to cause me to lose any sleep. People come on here saying they want the truth, but they usually don't.
So out of curiousity, Gone, would you get excited about dating a man your age who made less than $25K a year, smokes on a regular basis, and is just looking for "fun" with anyone ages 18-43? Be honest, now LOL.
I'm not saying he's a loser, I'm saying that as his profile reads, he might need to do some tweaking to get attention from quality women. And if that's an accurate reflection of his life, then mayyyyyyybe some attention to where he's going with it could be warranted.

| i'd have to agree with the women here.i've written similar to katie's post in the past.not pointing at any person, men or women, but you should have something to offer.her words were pretty accurate on his.maybe he needs to add or update but if i was a women i see nothing that would provoke me to respond.

| Thatonedude - I'm not defending myself to you, because I'm not asking for your opinion, my little cigarette smoking, are-my-pecs-big-enough-yet cutie-pie. I'm dating more than I can handle, so I'm not having problems convincing men that I'm a good thing, both online and locally :: shrug ::. I'm primarily on here for amusement purposes.
I don't know your ex-wife, but if she expected you to be a good man who was committed to staying one, having a profession that you loved and were growing in, and dedicated to taking care of your family and yourself, then yes, we'd have a lot in common. I'm sorry if you wouldn't have those standards for yourself.

| Katie, It's sad you had to rip into this poor fellow. Maybe you should have read his profile a little more thoroughly. Maybe you would have picked up on the hints that he is a UNITED STATES MARINE. He may not make a lot of money, but his life style shows his character. He has chosen a career which offers more fulfilling dividends than cash alone could ever bring.
LOTTI, I'm a bit embarrased that this gal ripped into you. Thank You for serving this great nation.

| | 1/27/2008 10:19:19 AM | hi why do women not? | | wileyguy Wilkes Barre, PA age: 37 online now!
| thanks for pointing that out dutch. i missed the military thing. it does take a special person to have a military career.i dont think we realize how much some give up.
| | 1/27/2008 10:19:51 AM | hi why do women not? | | katiescarlett72 Justin, TX age: 35
| Sorry, Dutch, you would be innnnnnnnnnncorrect. I did see that he's apparently a Marine or something associated with them. Although you do realize that anyone - including the guy who pumps gas at the base service station - can and often does obtain a Marine hat and claim his occupation as "Military?"
I'm the granddaughter of a WWII Army vet, the daughter of a Coast Guard sailor who was on Operation Deep Freeze I, the sister of a Navy sailor and an actual US Marine, and a former Army wife. I've got a fairly good handle on the military life, and being of a grade that would earn you $25,000 or less at the age of 43 is, frankly, incomprehensible, unless you had a midlife crisis and enlisted at 40. When I met my ex he was a 23 year old E-5 earning almost $22K after a rip-roaring four years in the service, and by the time he came out he was an officer earning considerably more. What can you possibly be *doing* in the Marines to stay at a pay grade like that into your 40's?
I've never subscribed to the idea that every man or woman who signs on the dotted line automatically deserves my adoration and respect for doing so. There's scumbags and worthless pieces of crap in the military just like anywhere else (I am NOT saying that the OP is one, okay, so OP, please don't think I'm directing this at you or saying that you don't deserve respect, I don't know you at all, I'm just baffled by your pay grade, and it's really none of my business.)
I mean, you HAVE seen all the FBI and news reports about how all the major US gangs - Latin Kings, MS 13, Crips, Bloods - are now using the military to train their recruits, right? Gang graffiti is turning up on military bases all over the world. Wanna show those boys in blue some lovin' too?
