| Definitely new to this so here goes...how long should you wait to meet someone from on-line? What would be things to tip you off that their genuine? Other then the obvious reasons that they could be looney...what should I look for?

| I met someone last week and am meeting them face to face this comming friday. So far this might be the one....so I might be leaving soon...didnt meet her here though, at a sponsor of this sight...she contacted me, and men do like that. Its almost freakish how much we are alike and how well we have hit it off.

| Ya, I've had lots. The worst is when they submit a 4 year old photo and forget to tell you they've put on 40 lbs.!!
Just wait until you feel like you already know the person, you will just kind of 'know' when you're ready. Always be careful and meet in a public place. I like to meet for coffee, it's short and sweet so escape is quick!!
I've also met some great gals that are still friends to this day, just depends.

| after you've talked with them awhile..But I just did that, and met him this wkend..and wowso...he was well on his way to being drunk, was goofy as hell, dressed like he hasn't been to a clothing store in years..and a real disappointment..so guess all the talking wasn't such a good indicator!! Well, at least I know now!

| I've had a bunch of face to face encounters with people I met online, and they have all been positive. I guess I'm either good, or lucky. 
I don't see the point in waiting long. In the old days the FIRST contact was face-to-face. Why chat for a month, trying to figure out if someone is legit, when you can just get together tomorrow?

| I say meet face to face A.S.A.P.... That way you know if the person is who he/she says they are, and so you're wasting your time..
That said, unless there is something REALLY wrong with the person i'm meeting (drunk, stoned, not as described, ect.), I always like to give it a couple or three meetings or dates before really coming to conclusions about wether or not I'd like to continue to date someone...

| nopretense, I've had some good encounters too..but just not any sparks...and have remained friends with several of them...even got invited to ones wedding (he met his wife on the same dating site)...and keep in touch to this day with him and his wife.
You can never have enough friends.
