| Does writing a good profile really matter? I mean a profile without pictures is not good unless you want a blank date. But, does writing a good profile really matter? If picture is included either the person is going to contact you or vice versa....... And (FINALLY) if the subject has been brought up before (then POOP on me)!!!!!

| It matters a great deal. You can tell from a profile if they are looking for the same thing you are, if you have anything in common, what their interests are.
Mine is straight up ....looking for friends only , house is like a small zoo , in midst of long divorce . Guys looking for Mrs. Right will be hitting the backspace after READING mine. That is perfect for me.....UNLESS they can handle being just friends. 
Many men and women are looking for "the one"....."long term relationships" .....it would help them out a great deal if the profile they are looking at states what exactly they are looking for. And just for the record....not all only judge by picture. Picture is only half or less of the decision...profile is the key. JMO
sorry so long winded, have a couple friends dealing with this same issue.

| I agree with ya.......However, it seems that if you do have a good profile that is straight and to the point you still get those that HMMMMMM...How should I put this REFUSE TO READ IT!
I think mine is pretty straight forward and I have received comments on it however.......You still get those that refuse to read.......
Long winded profiles seem to (Just in my own opinion here seem to get over looked......
Pics are good and maybe some people don't judge a person by pics but as we all know there are those that do...(POOR Pitiful souls)
And Darling, I luv women that are long winded....

| I completely agree......maybe the wink button should be at the BOTTOM of the profile so they HAVE to read it

| I find a profile is important it tell you about that person but that person could either be telling the truth or lying so to get to know them in person is the most important part of course. My profile is all true I have nothing to hide.

| As far as the wink button is concerned maybe it should a hidden link.....read the profile find the key and WA LA....it mysteriously appears......... Or a secret question that would up open the Q-WINKY option....BUT, YOU HAVE TO KNOW THE ANSWER before it can be opened.....
If you don't no the answer  Q-WINKY DINKY.
And finally....I'd would like to believe (CALL me MAYBE TOOOOO GULLIBLE) that must profiles are true.......
