| It's not just internet dating. I'm away from home about 9 months out of 12. Met a girl and we dated on and off for a year or so. Since winter is my down time, and I am home more, she asked me to fly out and stay a month or so. I am on the West Coast and she's on the East Coast. Anyway, she picked me up at the airport and we had a great night. The next day, she tells me it won't work out and asks me to leave. So I said, ok, no problem, then she starts "trying" to b*tch me out about my saying "ok" and not asking questions as to why. I called a taxi and was gone in 15 min, and on my way back West.

| Thanks for the posts. Actually I am not bumming at all, although I will say that it was a "surprise"  By the way, she is older than me by 6 yrs. Maybe it was her way of testing me. So when I didn't fuel the fire, she suddenly had a look that was worth a million bucks. And when I called and a taxi, she said "just like that"? I said "yeah, just like that, winked and said adios", and off I went.
I think it just another example of how messed up the male-female deal is today.

Dude! I so give you points for how you handled this.
But next time...give her some kinda over the phone test for "whacko" before flying - unless you have lots of frequent flyer miles....
My real ? is it takes me like 6 months to make up my mind to book a flight and you just walked out her place and went to the airport - bang like that?
