DH is a great site. Get into the forums. There are posts/threads that answer your questions and groups you can join too.
Of course saftey first when dating. Meet a prospective date in a public place (possibly a daytime meeting at first), and drive your own car. I always tell a friend where I'm going and who I'm meeting as well.
Talk about yourself and ask them questions that are interesting and will keep the conversation going.
