| You mean to tell me you are paying? He is a tight wad. A real man will pay for the dates. Sometimes a lady will want to contribute, I have always resisted having mt dates pay for me. Even if I know we will never go out again. Just feel it is right.

| I have had that happen too, where you are going out with someone but it seems like you are always paying. Matter of fact my kids said something to him, it actually embarrassed him enough to pay once in awhile. I don't mind paying ocassionally but I don't feel its fair to pay all the time.
The next time he asks you out don't take any money with you. If he doesn't have any say too bad and ask him to take you home.

| i'm old fashioned in this regards. i pay for everything. occassionally, if she wants to take me out, that's fine. i figure, she's gotta put up with my bovine scatology at times, the least i could do, is pay for dinner. JMO

| Chivalry should never die, and I always pay, especially if I do the asking. She should occasionally offer to help with the tip, or if the outing is her idea, she will usually say that the treat is on her, and I will take care of the tip.
Ladies should always keep in mind that if they let traditions go by the wayside, they will end up being the "breadwinners" in this topsy-turvy world. Things, they are a' changing!! Respect to the ladies, but men should always take care of em best they can!

if she pays, she expects.
I suggest half in, then one person covers the rest.
If you go to the movies, each puts 15 dollars in before entering. then if it goes over someone pays the extra. this way no one expects to get repaid... etc.

| When the relationship is in its early "dating" stage, the man should have things covered, and if the woman offers to contribute, he should decline. He should pay.
He should be prepared to pick up the tab. As the relationship progresses, especially if it's become exclusive, there's nothing wrong with the woman picking up a few tabs now and again...but it should be because she wants to...not because he's coming up short. If you're feeling that he's become tight with the money on your dates...then he probably is.

| I always offer to help pay, because it's such a bizarre quicksand anymore, but I've never had a guy let me do it. They always swat my wallet and tell me to put it away. :: shrug ::.
The only time I ever managed to pull it off was when a guy came in from out of town to see me at Christmas, and because I'd procrastinated that year, he ended up spending two hours at Toys R Us helping me finish shopping, then helped me get everything wrapped. I told him he was getting dinner with all the trimmings at Outback and was not allowed to say one word LOL. He was a little uncomfortable with it because he said he'd never allowed a woman to buy him dinner before, but I sweet talked him into it.

| Isn't amazing the differences in opinions that are based on age groups?
The younger members are believing who ever asks should pay, or the bill should be split.
Maybe its just me, but I always pay the bill, and expect nothing in return. Perhaps it was the way I was raised, in an age that I didn't think was that long ago.
