| Intriguing that you ask this, because one would think you are the stuff a woman's dreams are filled with....
But sometimes being physically appealling is a curse in itself -
do they see me or just the body?
For me I can make an initial attraction to someone based on WHO they are
and the chemistry and attraction does not have anything to do with exterior beauty.
I can think for example of the men I consider "hot" who are celbrities - and the firs ton my list are not Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt...they'd be on it but not high up.
Ed Harris - a real man, balding and gorgeously yummy in his age
David Letterman - yum! And how old is he?
Ok - gotta admit - Dr. Phil - love the drawl and he's a wise a** and intelligent
I've dated a Brad Pitt and he was HOT!
I dated a professional male stripper - and his body and eyes were hot! But he was also a sexual predator and convicted pedophile offender...so....lesson in there...
So lots of words - for me - it's the WHOLE package.

| Looks are definitely key to initial attraction, but, once beyond that, it's who a man is that really does it for me. I could be dating a guy that looks like Orlando Bloom, but if he has no soul, he'll only ever be just eye candy to me. Speaking of which...any of you men out there look like Orland Bloom? j/k

| Looks are something to consider if your thinking you might be intimate. After all, we would be looking at one another. But it is not the factor that leads to taking the first step of approach. Personaly, I think rudeness is something that I weigh carefully. Last guy Iwas serious with had some of the most thoughtful, considerate manners i have ever seen. He was a Libra...no cusp, full blown beautiful Libra...and I find it to be true of Libra's everytime....mmm? I wonder what Craig is? brb

| Sighted people have a tendency to look first, so we naturally follow the information that our eyes take in and feed to our brain. I am probably not answering your question for you, but for me, I have. For myself, I see someone's physical presence first, so if they are attractive to me and look friendly, I might go and talk to them. To that extent, looks are of some importance. After the ice is broken, and similarities and differences are discussed or observed, looks are not so important. When you get to know the person, you begin to like (or dislike) the person. If you like the person, then looks are not so important, however, there needs to be a bit of attraction, or else you have a friend. If the person is not friendly, then, no matter how good he/she may look, the inert properties overpower the overt attraction.
