| Does anyone else feel like they are paying more for their health insurance premiums but actually receiving less service? Tell me any horror stories.
I think there is a conflict of interest when you have a for profit insurance company covering your medical expenses. Are they more concerned about the bottom line for their investors or do their policy holders' best interests in mind? I believe they are all doing a disservice to the policy holders. There have been rumours that doctors and administrators are compensated for the number of claim denials they have.

| We all know there are "horror stories", but you will find more of them in medical systems that aren't "for profit" (the VA, Tri-care…). The free market is the best system. We all know that competition breeds excellence. In sports or in business, if there is someone better, you try harder. When companies are "more concerned about the bottom line for their investors" they know they have to perform, offer the best possible product, and operate with sound business decisions. If not, the customer will go elsewhere. This has been beaten to death, but if you want to see something worse…let the government control your health care.
