| As for myself, I'm a shy guy  that need time to figure out if this is the person I'm willing to invest time in. These types of people can't just rush into relationships. So people say we're afraid of committing to a relationship. That's far from the truth, we just take our time to make sure its the right one. Once we take on the relationship, we're in it for the long time.
Please take your time with these types of people. If they can catch one, they're your for life.

Come here and sit down and let me give you a tad of advice....Men have to think they have the upper hand and have to feel in control...BUT dear..it's really up to us Women to LET them THINK ..that they have the upper hand and control...makes them feel very important.... you have to stroke a mans ego.....lol ( WINK )

| Tren, I am not sure, I have not completely experinced the same but I will say I see what appears as a lot of preconcieve thinking accompanied by game playing. My biggest problem I find is the baggage, they think they are free of it but yet the some are defensive in the since that I find myself re wording so the correct message comes out and then it seems like a bigger mess....I have seen this a few times, when you get to the bottom of things, I always find it is themess a woman has left behind. It really makes me mad to see women do a number on guys. Are there any men who have not bee F*cked in the head by a woman...lol. I think it might be wise to wipe emotional slates clean....lol
But dont give up hope I get mail from some really great guys too, I was merely trying to address the subject. Good look, try not to search for theone and just build friendships, its a hell of a lot safer.

| I'm from the South as well........have found that most men are enchanted by the accent, so it can't be that........you said the talk was casual, so you didn't portray yourself as easy, so unless that's what they were looking for, it can't be that......I wasn't there for the convos so this isn't directed specifically at you..........a lot of people make the mistake of just rambling on about themselves, their accomplishments & OH! THE KISS OF DEATH: past relationships!!! Think back.....do you do that? If none of this applies to you then all I can say is keep on trying........you'll find your match. Good luck to you!

That is a tough one. Hmmm. I don't know that I can come up with an answer to your question directly, but hopefully a suggestion that may help some of the future heartache.
I have one of those "unique" voices that people can easily pick out of a crowd. I never have to say who I am when I leave a message. I used to find it annoying (it is a thick country accent from East Tx/ Louisiana border). I did manage to tone it down slightly from talking to people across country. The way I talk is something guys either love or hate.
Here is my silly suggestion: Talk to them sooner on the phone so you are not investing so much time on getting to know someone online that definately won't go anywhere later. You should be hearing them say they want to meet you after hearing your voice, not over cyberspace. Just be safe and give them a cell # and not your house line. I know it doesn't fix your problem, but maybe it will help a little? You'll be in my thoughts.. good luck!
