About saving searches, I don't know. But, when you click on my home; on that page it has the people you've clicked on and who has looked at your profile. Kinda gives you reminder of who's who. Check out the forums, and you'll get to know people.
On the music player, go to the forums page( Introductions, Dating, Chat Room and so on)and scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Help. The very first thread is by gonesailing and describes how to get a music player.
