If a lady sends a guy an email saying she wants to chat, and you send a response of interest, How long should the guy wait before sending a followup if she has not responded to your first email of accepting to chat?

please keep in mind too that stuff happens and maybe she couldn't get to her computer, that day because the computer went BOOM Like it did with me. I am using my labtop as a temperary computer til I get my new computer up again. my old one is dead.

I would take it to mean thats she's available to chat now. So click on her profile and if she's online click on the chat icon and send her an Instant Message. ASAP

I did reply several times but i have not received any emails, see on
2/4/08 i got an email from a lady who wanted to chat and said "she was looking foreward to chating with me" so i sent an email back to here the same day, and did not get a response from her. so i sent another email on 2/5/08 and then a email on 2/7/08, and did not get any response yet should i just leave her alone?

I'd say leave it alone at this point. This is happened to me a few times. I just chalk it up to the person got caught by their significant other or possibly hit by a bus. Just move on, there's plenty of other fish in the sea.

The part that confuses me here is the "allowing" statement. What I have to grant permission for someone to return an email to me?

Hey thanks for the reply, I decided not to stay in touch with her. I started feeling like i was talking to a brick wall, when she would not respond after a weeks time.
Maybe you would now someone who is not shy of emailing here in Orlando Fl.

I've had this happen a few times where a girl sends me a wink or email and when i respond, they don't say anything back even when it shows they are online. or they give brief one word answers that don't eve make sens. it is really annoying

I don't think there's an excuse for not replying...

I think honesty - if she wants to reply badly enough she will, it's that simple.

I beg your pardon? I try to answer everyone that emails me. But s**t happens on a daily basis, I am a good girl, always have been. I have been having a hard time finding honest men on here. But, i do agree with if someone emails you and wants to chat, if they don't have time to chat, they should say so. I wont email or flirt with anyone if i have no intentions of emailing or chatting with them.
