| The setting doesn't matter. It's how he makes you feel with his words, his eyes, or even a casual touch.

| It would have to be a 2 part date, all in the same night. We first would go to a carshow, and then a fashion show.
I want to see if she's as interested in my part of the night, as I will be in her part of the date.
If she shows no interest, or whines, complains, or wants to leave early, then that's fine, we could go to the fashion show, finish up the date, but I'll never call her again.
However, if she asks questions and wants to actually show me that she's interested in a part of my life (as I too show the same interest on her part of the night), then she'll be a keeper.

| You're right. Romance can come on many levels.
Dinner in a restaurant, with no couples besides you, spending 2 hours talking AFTER the check has been paid!
a beach at night, with a picnic basket and a blanket.
And my all time fav... pizza by candlelight!!!
Does it get any more romantic than that??

| I think "romantic" just requires being able to talk (and hear each other talk), and being able to focus on each other. That could happen lots of places.
Dinner is great. Sitting on the sofa and listening to good music is great.
I was in Florida last September...at 11:00 at night, my brother and I went way out in the ocean...the water was warm, the air was warm, there were a million stars, and we had a nice time hanging out together and talking but all I could think of was how very cool it would be to be there with a special woman.
