| I posted this in another thread and I plan on posting it every time I see someone attacked. Maybe we can salvage this site. Feel free to copy and paste it if you see any attacks that I don't.
"It's because of attacks like this that people are leaving DHU.
I work hard on other sites to invite people here because this is the best site there is.
Now I'm beginning to wonder, FOR WHAT! So they can be attacked and leave before I even get to know them."
"GROW UP!"
Am I pissed? You bet your sweet bippie I'm pissed! You don't want me to let Sgt Mac out from under my hat.

I do hope will come back. She was a powerful lady, no doubt.

| Thank you all....
Let me do some 'splaining here Lucy!
First, I did NOT start that Just an Observance thread to ask who posted in the nude pic thread or the cancer thread, nor why. That is not the point whatsoever of that thread, to see who posted where. I understand humorous threads receive more attention. That was not the intent whatsoever. The intention was to make you people take a minute to just stop, reflect, and think about something and say hmmmmm, good point. PERIOD..
That thread was started by me to add to this forum, for no other reason and certainly no other motive. Then in that particular thread I was attacked by two people in it, for reasons which are beyond me, as I have no idea why, but that is neither here nor there.
I thought for sure it would be a "safe" thread, with no fights, no disagreements, nor any hassle, just a point to ponder....that is all!
It made me finally realize that starting a thought provoking thread in this forum is just not worth the hassle anymore, or any thread at all for that matter. It is just not worth the discontent. You keep shooting the messenger one too many times folks and next time you will need to use Fed X.
I appreciate your concerns, and sure appreciate being missed and I will tell you something from the heart...there were a few people who I NEVER suspected would, came to my defense! You two people know who you are.....and when I saw that along with all of your support I decided to give it another go! I thought if those two are trying to make this forum a better place then I should too.
I did not leave for you to ask me to stay. I left SOLELY for the reasons stated above.
When it is no longer worth it to make an effort to contribute something to this particular forum, then I figured it was time to hang up the a** kicking boots and move on.
Will I ever start another thread? I highly doubt it
Will I post in other people's threads? I don't know, since I certainly am "gun shy" about doing so at this point.
Will I always be a smartass? You can count on it!
Will I always remember what you people did here today to make me feel wanted? You bet your bippie I will.
I don't get sentimental often but you people made me. Ever see a lawyer cry? You people made me. Don't do it again, it is against our oath!
Mary
