| What ken said, only the guy was in one of those situations. A lot of people do not know how to end relationships of any kind, whether as simple as email communique, all the way up to overstaying in a bad marriage. We are taught - falsely - that 1. relationships 'fail' 2. you have to try to fix what's broke. 3. we need to understand what happened (aka closure) 4. there has to be a good (in our own opinion) reason for things to end.
I think the truth of the matter is that the more time or energy we invest in something, the more reluctant we are
to write it off.

| Shit happens... You didn't say what mode of communication you two were using. If it was just the Internet then it cold be technical in nature. Could be bad weather, service shut off or computer died. If you two used the phone it could still be technical but more doubtful.
Wait till he pops his head up then whack it with a ball peen, THEN ask him  ?

| They simply do what SOME women do also, just stop calling. maybe he's just not interested in you. maybe you turned him off in one way or another but didn't realize you did.
SOME women should give the courtesy to men ALSO, especially after a man pays for a date etc... to let him know they are not interested, but some don't Get over it and move on. and next time don't categorize all men in one category. just speak of your experience in the title as well.

| It's not just men who do this, women do this too. A few people do not like to hurt others feelings so avoiding them is their way of sending a message. I've gotten them before and ... I got the message.

| I have had this happened to me several times, just not on dating sites but the "real world". Sorry if that offended anyone.  A guy would call you and he would talk to you for hours on the phone and everything would go great. Then he would call you the next day, and then he would meet you for lunch, and then he would call you that night and then..........BAMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 No phone calls. Dead silence. Well shame on you. Day one would go by, then day two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, etc, no phone calls, and i would call back with the answering machine leaving several messages, not a thing. I did call back once and he did answer and say oh im busy with work i will call you back tonight. Never happened. That same night, that bastard was online, day after day, night after night, with no ims, not one word, not one email, not one phone call, no nothing. I never called him back. I never got an explanation. I would go around town asking where is bobby tonight. Oh well bobby is over marias house. Hes what??? well if bobby is over marias house what is bobby doing on an internet service? And why is bobby parked in the bartenders driveway at the wee hours in the morning, the hell i will fall for that trick again those creepy little bastards. Now i know how the game is played. If they are going to call when they say they are going to call, i want my phone to ring no longer than ten minutes when they say they are supposed to. If something comes up in the family, they are to notify me immediately. hey lisa sorry family emergency will get to soon. How hard is that? I would be gratefulllllll and would not panic.....i think it is degrading to woman....i think ti sucks. and it will not happen to me again. Then the worst part girls, are you ready? They guy has not called you in a month, and you go out for a few drinks with your friends, and there he is right across from you with another girl having a couple gin and tonics. Men are like trains girls, you can always catch another.

| Yes gentleman? I know you are going to whine too, you are going to say the girls do this too, but we are not in the HAZMAT range. We want to be treated with a little bit more decency and respect. At least show some morale.

| Ok, so e-mailing, talking for a few weeks, then meet, have a great time, he tells me story of his life. He calls a few more times (out of town on business trip). He tells me to make dinner reservations, pick a movie so we can go out when he returns to town. Then the calls stop. I'm worried, thinking something bad happened to him. Leave a message at his house. Leave an e-mail only to see he's been on line the day before. Supposedly, he can't do personal stuff on his work computer. Hmmm... Is he married? I don't do married-EVER. NEXT!
