| It has recently been my displeasure to be part of and witness a most ugly battle here on DH.
Such occurances are childish and completely unnecessary.
The inappropriateness of the postings and discourse was unbelievable and the accusations ludicrous.
A jilted lover, a wounded pride, a damsel in distress, a defender of honor, a saving face!
LOVE ~ on date sites, the ultimate prize!
But at what cost is it when you let the new found relationship be known.
Sure you will get the well wishers and congratulations! Those are what you want and would expect.
I mean we're mostly all here to find THE RIGHT PERSON for us, right?!?
But be weary that not all are going to be happy for you.
Jealousy and envy are evil monsters that raise the dead and make them feed on the fresh blood of the new romance.
It just might be best to slip away quietly and enjoy the new found togetherness without the public display of affection.

| I agree that most times it is not best to speak in public about any new relationship. Just go enjoy it, be it for a day, a month or a lifetime.
Sadly, in my time here, I have seen the same sort of display over and over again. That is why I don't say much about anything anymore and mostly stick to Joe's word association game.

If someone's disagreeing with someone...stay out of it! Chances are, neither party needs your "help". Believe me, they don't need your misspelled encouragement!

| Such drama on this website is normal. Most of the postings seem to be about "taking various sides". A good intellectual argument never hurt anyone but some of the postings here have been incredibly viscious.
I have never seen a fight over a relationship yet though.
