I just tried to reply to a post in the 40’s Group and was “denied” access to the group because of my age. Age discrimination I tell ya!

So I will just answer the question that was asked here where no one is denied.

The discussion was if any members have actually met anyone on this site in real life and found them to be as they described themselves, at least to a close proximity. Well I have only met one woman here and she is everything she purported herself to be--and actually more.

I have found that honesty works and it is a two way street.

Good luck, all.

Well congratulations JK, you are probably one of the most luckiest ones on here so to speak. Never met anyone on a dating service before. But you are right, honesty is the best policy. I might me someone hopefuly someday, but maybe this system is just not right for me. Maybe i need to broaden my horizons more and just get out there and get off the system and stick to my own hometown, join functions, get out and see more people, mingle, and just be myself. It does nothing for me to just sit at home and write threads all day long. I wish you the best of luck. Lisa

Hey Jkl --

I'm happy that your experience was as good as mine and hope your future holds all you deserve.

If you want to say someting in the 40's chat I'll be happy to post it for you. I agree that you are no where near too old to hang out with the 40-somethings.

I've met a few here and from a different site and most of the men were exactly who and
what they said they were. The only thing that I experienced was that even tho' we
emailed and chatted on the phone when we met in person there was no spark!! Even if it
existed in the other communique. There was one however, that was a complete opposite!
He said he was tall, easy going and well mannered. Well let me tell you I couldn't run
fast enough to get away!!! hahahahahaha

Now recently I did finaly meet someone who is quite a distance away but the sparks did
fly and he more than surpassed my expectations. He was honest and upfront with me from
the beginning as I was with him. After the first 1/2 hour of awkwardness and newness of
actually seeing and being together the rest of the night was magical as if we knew each
other for years.

Honesty is the most important foundation for any relationship no matter what shape or form it's in.

(Hey Wiley! Like the new pic!)

I haven't met anyone from this site yet.....

On other sites, I have met some that are complete opposits from what they say from their looks, job status, marital status...name it.

I have also met men that are true to form and they are still very much a big part of my life. I say there is more unhonesty than honesty and honesty is my biggest policy and that is why "they" are no longer a part of my life!

Honesty is Important I have dated off this site and the lady I dated was more than
she made herself out to be. Its just that her and I was not a match for each other
and so thats how we parted ways as friends. We to this day still talk to see how each others doing. Not a match but a great friend! I have gone for coffee or drinks with others also. Not just from DH , but other sites also its very important that if your
looking you be honest. Just me.

So good Luck to All!

I was raised with the saying, all you have in life that matters is your name, and your name is only as good as your word. If your word is no good then your name isnt either. If your not who you say you are,or look as you say you look,as soon as you meet it will be seen. Then if you lied about that ,what else will you lie about.
