| Ok I mentioned one of the threads about getting together, but we have broken up in so many little groups I dont know which ones to post in. So here it goes I would like to see how many of you are really interested in meeting each other.
I was thinking about doing something in the Pittsburgh area but I dont know much about it. So that leaves me with my own home town area New Castle. There isnt a whole lot going on around here but I'm sure I could come up with a few ideas to keep us busy for one evening. There is a bar/bowling alley near me that has a dj in the bar and one in the bowling ally on Saturdays. I know it sounds alittle calm but I am open to any suggestions.
If anyone knows of things to do in the Pittsburgh area and would like to come up with ideas there that would be great. Right now I am thinking about meeting on a Saturday that way most of us wont have to get up for work the next morning. There are a couple of hotels in this area if you need a place to stay.
I also have heard from Dubshots that there is a place in Erie that sounds good. Maybe
that would be a better place. We just thought we would get more if we tried to stay in the middle.
Please let me know if you really want to do this so I have an idea of how many there will be if we do it here.

| I'm right in Pittsburgh, so, if you are interested in organizing a social event and need help, please let me know. It doesn't even have to be within MEETin.org that I posted about earlier - we can do our own event if you'd like. I'm an event planning junkie! =) I'm also a pub crawl planner for Pub Crawl International. We've had crawls all over Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Seven Springs, Niagra Falls, Washington DC and even in Ireland!
Need help in da 'burgh, let me know.

| I've been posting in this area and under the "Events and Get togethers" section of the Forums. Someone suggested meet at Station Square does that sound good? Although those pub crawls sound interesting too. Maybe a bit much for a first time meeting though.
If you want to plan something thats great. I make a good idea person but not so good with detail work!!

| HeY! What about the shenango valley? sharon, hermitage area, there are things to do here. we have a lake, with beaches and picnic areas. as well as bars, pubs, skating rink(roller). lots of things to do once the weather breaks.

March 15th - Pittsburgh's St. Paddy's Day Parade
Pre-Parade Drinks @ Jack's Bar, 7 a.m.
Parade Tailgate @ 9:30 a.m.
St. Patty's Pub Crawl in Millvale, 7 p.m.
March 21-23 - Backpack/Camping Trip
Some of my Sundays are open and during the week in March. So, if you want to plan something separate from the events I already have going in March, it looks like Fridays are best for me but I'm open to suggestions.

| The weekend of March 28-30 is best for me. April is a busy travel month for me. What exactly is a pub crawl? New to me. Station Square sounds good as well. I've been there once before. GREAT TIME.

| Hello! A pub crawl is an event where we contact the bars/clubs/etc. in advance and set up a schedule and drink special at each place.
We normally begin at 7 p.m. at a place that has food and drinks. When it's time to leave someone blows a very annoying whistle and we crawl on to the next place. I'm usually good at getting great drink specials - definitely get free admission to every place we put on the schedule and some times other great free things.
It's basically a party with a schedule. We always hit the last place around 11 p.m. and end the night dancing off some of the booze.
I won't be around the computer all weekend but maybe we can set something up soon.

| So how about we plan on Saturday the 29th to meet at Station Square. Travel, if you would like to come up with something for us to do that would be great if not we can play it by ear. There is alot to do around there. I have been to the country bar with the bull but didnt try to ride it, maybe we can see how many of us are brave enough!
Hows this sound to everyone? Sound off in here so we can get a count.

I know most of the managers at Station Square from planning crawls.
Should we meet early for dinner? Maybe we could meet at Station Square and take the incline up the hill to Mt. Washington for an early dinner.
I should be able to get us drink specials and free admission to each place we visit if I arrange in advance.
Some of the great places at Station Square are:
Buckhead Saloon - great place to start or end, live music
Ref's Sport's Bar - kind of a divey Sport's Bar
Bar Louie - large bar, sometimes has a DJ
Red Star Tavern - more of a bar/rest. has pool tables and is attached to Bar Louie
Hard Rock Cafe - Typical Bar (a bit pricey)
The Green Room at the Comedy Club - Bar at the Comedy Club, Sometimes has Karaoke
Margarita Mamas - very large top 40ish type of dance club
Saddle Ridge - Country/Southern Rock nightclub with mechanical bull
Matrix - 4 different clubs in one - Salsa/80's/Techno/Top 40's
I'd love to get everyone to the Strip District on Sunday morning for breakfast but I'm already in charge of a group going to the Maple Festival in Myersdale that morning. Of course you are all welcome to join us! =)

| I know, I know...but I have successfully convinced a few DHU Members to join and they've had a blast! Date Hookup is great but not the best venue for arranging events. You must admit. Our Winter Luau this weekend has nearly 100 attendees at the moment!
So, if you refuse to check the site out then I'll just start planning events on here and you better come out!
