| Nothing like a man’s deep soothing voice reading a story, poems even the sports section. My ex read Edgar Allen Poe to me in bed late at night. It was one of my most memorable intimacies we shared.

| I have dozens and dozens of messages equal to this....we've been corresponding for almost a year.....Unfortunately, he is thousands of miles away and who knows if we'll ever meet....there are pictures and many, many phone calls.....I'll look for another one of his masterpieces....
It's not love, but it sure keeps a gal feeling loved.

| Here's another one... I'm thinking this one might be cut and paste, but I haven't yet found the author,...
PERSEVERANCE
When all the world is looming dark
& things seem not so clear
When shadows seem to hover ‘round
Lord, May I persevere.
When it seems everything’s been tried
& there’s no way to go
Just let me keep remembering
Sometimes the journey’s slow.
I may just need to stop & rest
Along the path I trod
A time to try to understand
& have my talk with God.
As I gain new strength to carry on
Without a doubt or fear
Somehow I know things will be alright
& so, I persevere.
Life can be so difficult at times
I just wanted you to know
I’m thinking of you
And I care about
What you are going through.

| If you missed it, check out the thread regarding the Valentine's Day Poetry Contest. Wow...there were some very nice poems posted.
Actually, I have been pleasantly surprised by the number of men who write poetry. Finding a poem that was written by someone else that conveys your feelings is fine too...but, there are many men who write beautiful original poetry.
I'm not talented in that area, but find it amazing that so many men have that ability. And...it always surprises me...which men are capable of it. I guess I had a preconceived notion that it would be men who are more "feminine"...but it has been the opposite. I have watched men post messages for awhile...then they will post a lovely poem...and I think, "Wow...where did that come from?" Nice.
KK...I especially liked that first one.

| Yes they do, and I enjoy writing very much, more for me than for anything else, but if what I write touches someone, then it makes it better for me to know that..
I have several poems that I have written that I give to friends and Vets that need them.
I dont do love poetry much as that is not what I am good at, I have written a few, but I would, if I knew the woman good enough to write about her..
Also, writing as was mentioned is an art form, some are better than others, I am not very good, but I enjoy it, so that is why I write..

A Womans Touch.
Have you felt a womans touch
Carress of skin, never to much
A soft breath of words of love
Her hair, her body, soft as a dove
Look into her eyes, what do you see
I see her soul, opened to me
Sliding my lips across her neck
My life without her is a wreck
Take her hand, hold it very tight
Whisper your love for her each night
Let her know that you are there
Tell her that you and her are a pair
Did you see the sparkle in her eye
Did she see the joy, oh how I cry
How can a man be so happy in this life
To be loved by you, my dearest wife
I have kissed an angel, that I know
You saw my heart, our love, what a show
Carress of skin, never to much
I have felt a womans touch.
