I have noticed that at work... the people in the office gets very nosey and wants to know and ask questions that really is not there business. The sad part is, even I have willingly told them stuff that I normally would tell people, "NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS".

A co-worker went in for an operation (circumsized)... well, that is something that blew me away that someone would tell not only co-workers but our bosses. I am a teamster and it is like a family (not as much as the unions are up north though... they really take pride in unions)... but still, just how much information do you tell co-workers and bosses?

I use to vent my seperation and tell everyone at work things about it, but after a couple of them opened their mouth and said some things that really was no call for... that is when I decided that my personal life is MINE not THEIRS.

depends who they are and how close you are with them. With my friends at work my life is like an open book. You need to know who you can say what to. Kinda like you would tell your friends but would you tell your parents.

I tell only a seletive few of my business otherwise I don't say too much at work at all about my personal life. Since I live in a small community word gets around real fast. I had to learn who to trust who in the work place since people tend to want to know other people's business.

Yeah... I am an open book to my friends.. but I would tell my parents the same thing I tell them.

I just thought it was weird about telling everyone that he was going in for that operation.... the co-workers I can half way understand, but the bosses.. that is what really stuck me as strange...lol

I teach one of my boss jiu-jitsu, and he invites me over to watch UFC PPV for doing it. But I don't open up to him about anything personal in my life.

are..... how are ya

I have a few co-workers who I have worked for for a very long time and we shared our kids growung up, and getting married, parents dying, etc. With a few of those people I am very close, almost like family. But that is something that is earned over time.

there are 168 hours in a week..the average person spends 56 hours sleeping,40 hours at work, 21 hours watching TV, 14 hours in the bathroom , 14 hours with friends and family,9 hours driving, 7 hours in household chors , and 7 hours on misc.

the point is the second most amount of your time you spend a week is at work . if you didn't have people close to you there you could confide in and relate to don't you think that would make you a closed off and uptight person during the rest of your time..

a second point is step back and take a look at life , we spend more or as much time watching tv and in the bathroom as we do quality time with friends and loved ones.. don't those people deserve more of our time than a toilet and mirror

So infamous... when you tell your boss all your problems and trials, and so on... say you are having problems with your mother's health and telling them everything about having to drive to Mississippi to see her in the hospital and everything concerning that.. then she has more problems and put back in... so you go back, then your boss calls you and tells you that you need to be into work at 2am the following day... while she is in ICU.... and you tell him that you can't make the trip until the next morning... then he tells you that you need to get your priorities straight...

This actually happened to one of my co-workers.. and he is actually one of the biggest guys working there... awful ballsy if you ask me... lol

I don't know if the company or the supervisor is being insensitive at that point. I've worked for a company that sees the company's interest first and foremost. I am working for a company that sees the employees first where if personal things need to be taken care of people around help out where needed. So perhaps it is the upper management who are making the rules as it applies to them ... not the company but I don't know for I've never been upper management

I have the most amazing co-workers anyone could ask for. We really are friends. The last two years have been extremely tough for me, and if it wasn't for many of them, I would probably go crazy. They literally held my hand through my breakup with a long time boyfriend, and they are helping me heal yet again...So, I honestly, do not mind sharing my life with them. Besides, as Infamous has has earlier, we do spent majority of our lives at work, so my co-workers became my family.
As much as I am excited to begin a new chapter in my life, in a different place, I am terribly sad that I will be leaving them behind.

Oh, and CJ...Hon, I don't know how to thank you for what you have done for me. All I can say is THANK GOD for unlimited texting...

vik... thank you and you are so welcome, anytime

chopper... you work for a good company if looks after it's employees first, if mine did.. I would be more out to do things for them, but I have stuck my head out for them twice with customers and got shot down, which made me look bad to them and caused us to lose some business also.
