| Hey there! I'm kinda new here, so don't really know the protcol. If I get a wink...read the profile and they're really not my type...am I supposed to reply or acknowledge the wink? I don't want to be rude, but I don't want to lead anyone on either. And I don't have the heart to say 'I'm not interested'. I kinda hope the no reply lets them know I'm not interested. Any suggestions??
Thanks ~

| if it's just wink.. and you aren't interested.. don't reply.
if they send an email ( other than "WOW UR HAWT LETZ F*CK!" )
Just say "no thanks" be prepared to get insulted.. if they insult.. block them.
That's the standard for women in online dating.
now.. having said that...
Wanna f*ck?

| To sunrise - Though eddy always has to post his answers in a fashion that makes you go , he's basically right. You're new, you're cute, so be prepared to be bombarded with tons of emails and even more winks.
You will probably reach a point (like I did today) where you feel you have to update your profile with a subtle hint for no winks. It may progress to an out-and-out request for no winks, I'll wait and see.
Strangely, some people (male and female, from what I've read here) think a wink requires a response from you, whether they are your type or not, even if you've explained what you're looking for in your profile. Even more strangely, some will not even bother to READ your profile before winking or emailing. But that's a subject for a different forum thread, grrr!
Anyway, have fun here, and keep asking questions. You might get some actual answers sometimes!
Edited for a typo, sorry.

| Well gals, I see so many of you say NO WINKS ! !
My thoughts on this are that the wink button was put there so people could express an interest in someone. If the other person is NOT interested, fine, don't answer.
I kinda feel a wink is just that, an icebreaker, ya sure don't just jump in and start dating someone in real life without the subtle interplay of showing interest, same here.
I read a lady's profile and if she sounds like some one that MAY be of interest and worth perusing that interest I'll wink in hopes that she will read MY profile and respond accordingly. I had one on here that said something to the effect of "don't put the burden of your interest on me to respond", Phooey ! ! I show a potential interest, you can either return it or not, but if all of the ladies ignore winks they may just be loosing an opportunity to meet a great guy..
Just my two bits worth.
