When one has children still at home it's always nice to find a quiet time and reading is great when I get a moment.

Quiet time is crucial to me. Although lately, I have WAY too much time to myself. But a pasttime of mine, especially when I'm call, is sitting in the wrecker at the access loop on the Gold Star Bridge, along I-95. A little crazy maybe... but sitting there contently watching the world literally whizz by at 75mph can do wonders for clearing one's mind.
So the next time you pass by a tow truck sitting roadside, he may not be waiting to pounce on someone, but instead he may be digesting all he deals with during the day.

I actually enjoy just kind of driving around, getting lost (literally and figuratively) on the back roads and finding the longest possible way home... the radio's on, but I'm not hearing it...

I love my time. I have to have it.To be content you have to just enjoy every day.Things will come. Just relax and be patent. Rather wait for something good to happen then a bunch of bad things.

I need quiet time too. When I need to get away to think I drive. Anywhere. Just get out and put CD's in and drive to the beach or another town and just look around. Kinda like interactive daydreaming.

I love quiet times and alone time. There are a variety of things I like to do. Depends on the time of year...

For example, today, I am snowed in and cannot leave home, my son is with his Dad, so I get alone time for sure...lol! I will spend some time here on the forums, but will take time to do some catching up on reading the news, love to do different types of puzzles, do a little work, maybe listen to some music or draw a little. And, if I can dig out later tonight, I'll go out and watch the hockey game...love to do that.

During the summer, I love to go to the zoo and wander around or to the bluffs (nearby with parks, lake etc) and pull up a piece of grass and see how many geese decide to climb on me...lol! feed the ducks, geese, birds, watch the boats do a little hiking up the bluffs, or go to the beach and people watch.
