This just happened to me last night. From out of town, long day, went to bed around 10 PM, just dozed off and hear extremely loud walking above me (Me on the 2nd floor hotel and the noise coming from the 3rd).

I lay there trying to go back to sleep. I hear walk, walk, walk, then nothing. About a minute later I hear walk, walk, walk, then nothing.

OK, I know there is only so far you can walk in a hotel room, so I invision "from the bed, to the desk," "from the bathroom, to the bed," "from one side of the bed, to the other side of the bed."

This went on until almost midnight until finally I couldn't take it anymore.

I will tell you what I did tomorrow....

Just kidding.... I finally grabbed one of my boots and thrust it up to the ceiling about 3 times. I know it was 3 times because now when I look up there are 3 pretty good size holes in the ceiling. God I hope they don't charge me for that.

Anyway, what in the world was he/she doing? I haven't the faintest idea? Would be interested in what you think because it was so strange.

That happened to me and I went to their door and asked them to stop walking back and forth. I couldnt figure out who was up there . My girlfriends and I thought it was a couple of guys clicking away in their high heel shoes for each other.

I used to live in Fort Walton Beach, Florida on the bottom floor of a apartment complex. I kid you not the guy above me had an old motorcycle that he was repairing, in his apartment. So at any given time during the day, OR NIGHT, you could hear him cranking it and revving up the motor. About pushed me over the edge.

They make caulking in all colors. Me, I'd go with spackle. It'll take a little longer to fill in deep holes but, it will sand down to a matching finish. Then all you have to do is touch up the paint, preferably from the same batch as was used to paint the ceiling the last time and no one will ever know what it happened.
